Each planet inHonkai: Star Railhas its own unique currencies, and you may use them to redeem rewards or special services from it. They’re usually tied to interactions and quests within that planet and cannot be obtained anywhere else.
A good example is the Memory Crystal Shards, scattered all around Amphoreus. These lingering fragments were introduced in the 3.0 update and can help give you an easier time exploring those huge Greek-inspired zones. But more than that, some items can only be obtained in special shops by exchanging them, so you’ll have to gather those if you’re aiming for 100 percent exploration.
What Are Memory Crystal Shards?
Memory Crystal Shards arespecial rewards obtained from various exploration objectives on Amphoreus.you may find them by completing quests, finding unique interactions, and speaking with special NPCs in general (such as the Chrysos Heirs).
They are allobtained in the ‘Eternal Holy City’ Okhema, and they have two main uses:buying souvenirs or locating the Creation Nymphs scattered around the zones, but there’s also a limited amount of Shards you can get from most sources.
Memory Crystal Shard Locations In Amphoreus
Doing certainactivities in Okhema for the first timewill alwaysyield you at least one Memory Crystal Shard. While most of these are a one-time-only source for Shards, there’s a location where you can get a decent amount of them each week. Any other Shard you find can only be obtained once.
Below is afull list of locations you can visitto get those Shards.
Strange Crystal
The infinite source for Shards. Interact with theStrange Crystal in the Hall of Respite bathroom chamber Aglaea gave you and Dan Hengduring the story. This Shard gives you10 Memory Crystal Shards every weekas soon as you touch it. Once servers reset on Monday, remember to visit for some extra currency.
This also counts asone of thecity’s Fragments of Recollections. Other fragments won’t give you extra Shards, though.
Interacting With Chrysos Heirs And Important NPCs
The main characters in Amphoreus can be foundall around the city once the Trailblaze Missions are done. Have a chat with them to get some easy Shards. Here’s where you can meet them in Okhema:
You don’t need to exhaust the Heirs' dialogue options. Justspeaking with them and immediately leaving the conversation gives you the Shard.
Aside from those, you may get some Shards frommerchants in Okhema if you buy something from them through dialogue(not the usual Shop option). This won’t cost you more than 12.000 Credits, even if you always pick the most expensive options.

Demetria willfirst trigger the Disjointed Memories questbefore you have a chance to buy her fruit.
Lastly, you canmeet Baccus directly in front of the Court of Seasons teleportto taste Ambrosia for the first time. Thefirst sip will give you a Memory Crystal Shard. Future sips only unlock achievements.
Adventure Missions
All Missions in the Amphoreus' Annals subsection reward the player withtwo Memory Crystals Shards each.Those Missions provide some extra context to the planet and sometimes even unlock hidden NPCs around the zones.
As of 3.0,the following missions will give you Memory Crystal Shards:
Once you complete the Trailblaze Missions in Amphoreus, more Adventure Missions will be unlocked. They all award you withfive Shards each, but are lengthier than the previously listed missions. Some of them arerequired to fully access some of the zones in Amphoreus, so they should be a priority.:
Exploration Objectives
Aside from Nymphs and Chests,Okhama has unique interactions that award the players a single Shardthe first time they interact with them. A good example is the Verax Leo quiz, shown during the main story.
you’re able to find these objectives all around Okhema, so you might’ve already passed by one of them. But if you haven’t, the map above shows where to find one of them in a single portion of the city, close to each other.
You only need to find one instance of these objectives in Okhema to get a Shard, butfinding all of them will always net you an extra achievement.
How To Use Memory Crystal Shards
You can use your Memory Crystal Shards byspeaking with the Garmentmaker in any Amphoreus zone. They will reveal the location of a missing Nymph in the current zoneat the price of one Nymph per shard. This is useful when you’re missing only a couple of them and don’t want tolook at every possible spot.
But they’re mostlyused for exchange at the Janus' Steed, next to the Court of Seasons teleport. You can find items such as Records for playing at the Astral Express and unique food recipes. They can all be bought a single time, and the store won’t be restocked.
There are also the Mysterious Gift boxes. Buying these unlocksnew decorations for your Hall of Respite room. The Small box (costing five Shards) adds atoy sea seal dollto the pool in front of the Strange Crystal, while the Large box (15 Shards) gives you aLittle Chimerastanding in your room.
Stocking Memory Crystal Shards is a good option forexploring future zones in Amphoreus. The Janus' Steed storemight also be updated in future versions, so having some extra Shards will always be useful.
