While Mr. Monopoly seems to be taking most of the crew to the art museum to kick off the new Artful Tales sticker season inMonopoly Go, our favorite archaeologist Sofia is on her way to unearth some additional ancient treasures in the Greek Treasures event this weekend.
Running between12PM EST on January 16and3PM EST on January 20, you’ll be digging your way through 20 levels of Greek Treasures, so we sure hope you’ve been collecting extra Greek Treasures picks! There’s a new board token and shield skin, and plenty of new stickers to earn this weekend.
How To Play Greek Treasures
Collect Pickaxes From Other Events
Before you’re able to head out to help Sofia dig, you’ll need toearn pickax tokenselsewhere in Monopoly Go. You’ll earn them from things like:
Use Pickaxes To Dig For Treasure
Once you have some pickaxes on hand, click into the Greek Treasures event screen to beginusing one pickax to clear a one-by-one tile of dirt, helping Sofia as she excavates all manner of ancient Greek discoveries! We’ve got20 levelsin this event, but you’ll also have the construction moles around to help occasionally clear some rows or columns for you when you find them.
Finding every piece of treasure on a game board means that level is complete, and you’ll earn the rewards shown on the meter on the top for that level’s reward in Greek Treasures. Not only is there anew shield skinyou can earn that’sfit for a Greek guard, but there’s also anew board tokencalled Exalted Scottie, with everyone’s favorite boy dressed in his best golden toga and headpiece. These levels tend to have the largest pieces to excavate, though, so you’ll need all the Greek Treasures picks you’re able to get.
Along the way, you’ll also be earning some of the firststicker packsyou’ll be getting to kick off the new Artful Tales sticker season with a bang! There are five sticker packsranging from pink to purple in rarityfor you to earn during Greek Treasures this weekend in Monopoly Go, as well as hundreds of free dice rolls and plenty of cash payouts.

As you continue building upgrades on every Monopoly Go game board you play, as well as landing on monopolies on your game boards that’ve been fully built up to hotels on each tile, you’ll continue to earn more on these cash payouts.
