There are times when you’ll need to face off against a vicious dog or pesky hedgehog, but otherwise your existence is a simple one. To get by in your new life as a squirrel, you’ll need to right tools.

We’ll break down how to get tools and use them in Squirreled Away. You won’t want to miss out on the wealth of items and experiences the park has to offer–not when they’re all within your grasp if you only try.

How To Make Tools

As a squirrel, you’llhave to get craftywith how you acquire tools. Using thematerials at your disposal, you’ll need to collect various items andthrow them all togetherto build tools to better interact with your environment.

These tools allow you toharvest materials and get aroundfaster, while alsofending off threatsand nuisances within the confines of the park. As a squirrel, you’ll need these tools toproperly build yourself a home.

How To Make An Axe

An axe isone of the first toolsyou’ll make, and it’sused to collect sticksfrom around the park. Thebigger the branchyou want to chop, thebetter the axeyou’ll need. Below are all the axe upgrades available:

How To Make A Shovel

Shovels are useful devices that allow you to dig up treasures and clean up trashfrom different regions in the park. There arefewer upgrades availablefor the shovel, but they are effective at doing their job.

How To Make A Pickaxe

You’llneed a pickaxe to gather rocksin the park, as pebbles will only get you so far. The pickaxeconsumes a lot of materials, but it’s well worth the investment todestroy those pesky boulders. Below are all the available pickaxe upgrades:

How To Make A Stink Bomb

To make a stink bomb, you’ll needfive pebbles and four mushroom chunksfrom the forest. Putting them together, you’ll get a delightful little tool you may use toscare off dogs and seagulls.

It takes a moment to use, so plan accordingly.

Scaring off seagulls around the park willgrant you featherswhile throwing the bomb at the dog willbuy you a few secondsof reprieve. Work fast and don’t waste this opportunity.

How To Make A Bonker

A bonker is a special tool used topry pull tabs offof soda cans and repair the valves in the Fountain Springs. You’ll need several items, including:

Putting these materials together will allow you toroam around and better harvest materialsin the world.

How To Make Spring Shoes

Spring shoes are a great device for your tiny squirrel feet. They allow you toreach new heightswithout climbing, but you’ll need toaccess the Fountain Springsbefore you may craft them.

To make spring shoes,collect two bottlecaps, four strings, and two springs. Put them all together and equip them from your inventory to start bouncing.

If you hold down the right input just before you hit the ground while wearing these shoes, you can bounce even higher!

How To Make A Fishing Rod

Fishing is asmall part of the gamethat you can completely miss, unless you’re looking for it. To craft a fishing rod, you’ll have to collect six sticks, two strings, and two paperclips. Once you have these items, open the crafting menu and make a fishing rod.

You can catchdifferent fish in each regionof the park, but you can also find coins and other odds and ends in fountains.

How To Make A Hang Glider

A hang glider lets yousoar through the skieswhen you leap from the trees. You’ll need togather a lot more materialsto make this tool, but it’s worth the investment.

You’ll need the following:

Put them all together andequip the hang gliderin your inventory. When falling, you may press the right input tospread your wings and glideto the next tree.
