Rift Relics made their debut at the beginning of Season 23: From The Rift inApex Legends, and each new week they had a new reward in store. A more detailed look at these can be seen in the guide below.

The second wave of Rift Relics is here, and with it, a new slew of possible drops. With all the drops being available now, you might be wondering which to look out for and which you should pass. This tier list aims to explain this, and any noteworthy things about each drop, so let’s first explain how we formed it.

A Rift Relic found on the map, that’s waiting to be opened in Apex Legends.

Rift Relics Volume 2 Tier List

This tier list combines theBoost KitsandRift Weaponsthat can drop from Rift Relicsinto a single list, so the parameters we considered for each are a little different, considering what they have to offer.

For Boost Kits, we looked atthe following factors:

And as for Relic Weapons, the factors are as follows:

Rift Relic items placed in the same tierare of similar importance, so the order in which they appear within a certain tierdoes not indicate one is better than the other.

Tier List Explanation

S-Tier

The best lootin the game currently. Weapons in this tier arethe absolute best currently availablein the game, and Boost Kits you see from this tier couldalways be picked.

A-Tier

Amazing lootthat can be used in a variety of scenarios and is absolutely amazing at what it does.

B-Tier

Very good lootthat can be usedif your playstyle fits it, but isn’t necessarily going to carry you all the way to a win.

C-Tier

Slightly situational lootthat could be usefulin the early game, and some scenarios in the late game. Loot above this tier is preferable.

D-Tier

Equal to, or worse than, what’s in the game already.Weapons and survival items that can be found far more easily. They are still great in the early game, but should be swapped if possible.

S-Tier Rift Relic Loot

Loot found in this tier is currentlythe absolute best in the game. It involves avery straightforward unfair advantageover your enemies that don’t have these Rift Weapons or Rift Relics.

Relic Charged Rampage

Weapon

It’s as ridiculous as you think -a Rampage with a permanent thermite charge. We have never seen a weapon as strong as this in Apex before. Almostno recoil, stupendous damage. If you hear someone firing this at you, cower.

Relic Alternator

As good as it used to be, it’s once again in the S-tier, just like in Season 1. With itsDisruptor rounds, you better not blink, as the enemies' shields will be gone by then. For an SMG,it doesn’t have a ton of recoileither, so this will always be an amazing pick.

Relic Prowler

The Prowler was designed to be a burst rifle, so the damage is scaled as such. Now,with it being full auto, you can assume that the damage it deals is straight-up unfair, and its recoil simply doesn’t compensate. Itshredsat most ranges, and you’re likely to hit most shots, too.

Upgraded

Boost Kit

This Kit simplyunlocks all of your Legend Upgrades immediately, with no strings attached. This does mean that the upgrades you’d usually miss out onwill be on your side, too, so you’re practically the strongest version of that Legend you could possibly be - a very easy pick for the S-Tier here.

Void Reflex

Upon taking damage that would kill you otherwise, youimmediately go into the void, much like Wraith’s tactical ability. Thislets you reposition, and in the meantime, your teammates get to cover youwhile you heal. This Boost Kit simplyerases your mistakes in combatand gives you a second try. It’s hard to beat it, and it deserves its spot in S-Tier.

A-Tier Rift Relic Loot

While S-Tier feels more like cheating, A-Tier has many picks that are waystronger than anything elsein the gamebut do require skill to wield. Naturally, this is where you will findmost of the drops from Rift Relics in general, as this is where they were designed to go.

Shotguns and Snipers, which just can’t perform at any range you’d like, mostly populate this tier, but rest assured that these arethe strongest of their respective types. Boost Kits here also change the way you play in a very significant way butaren’t perfect for absolutely any scenario.

The Relic Rampage found in Rift Relics in Apex Legends.

Relic Pulse Blade

A unique weapon made for this Event, it’s a version of thethrowing knifethat scans enemiesin the areain which it lands. This would be an amazing advantage to have, butyou’d have to give up a weapon slotthat could go to another weapon to have it. Thedamage is great, the accuracy is good, so it’s not like you’re losing much;it just barely scraped S-Tier.

Relic Spitfire

The Relic Rampage’s more peaceful antithesis;it fires faster with lower damage. The damage per second here is a lot lower, but just the fact that it’s compared to the Rampage up above lets it enjoy A-Tier. It has no special abilities;it’sjust raw damage.

Relic Mastiff

If you’ve ever wanted to see fully healed enemies go down in one shot, say hello tothe strongest shotgun in the game. We technically can’t put it higher, just becauseit simply doesn’t have good damage at range. If you’re able to get close to your enemy, you win. It’s as simple as that.

Relic EVA-8

The EVA-8, back together with theDouble Tap Hop-up, which lets itshoot twice when fired. More damage per shot, more shots per pulled trigger; what more could you want?

Relic Charged Sentinel

Yes, much like the Relic Charged Rampage, the Sentinel ispermanently charged here. If you see them, but they don’t see you, you can expect topoke them to death in a handful of seconds. We would go as far as to sayit’s better than the Kraberat this time, simply because it firesthatfast.

Emergency Smoke

When taking damage, you will release apuff of smoke around you, akin to Bangalore’s tactical ability. It can be very useful inalmost any situation, other than close-range tight space fights. Keeping in mind that you have it when attacking means you’ll have aclear advantage over your opponentswho aren’t ready for it.

Nessies

Nessies spawn and attack nearby enemies, even if you haven’t spotted them yet yourself. This means you’ll have intel onenemy positioning, but it comes in clutch when there’schaos on the battlefield already, and no one is looking out for a random Nessie to deal the final blow and knock them down. You can’t go wrong picking Nessies.

B-Tier Rift Relic Loot

Loot found in this tier is, by all means, still leagues beyond anything you may find anywhere else. These items feel stronger than Level 5 Care Package rotation items and still clean housein most scenarios, but require more effort to find usablein the late gameand aren’t just outright tickets to victory.

Relic Devotion

The Devotion, with a Turbocharger,of course. It has a unique twist though, with anEMP that triggers when you break shields. This weapon barely scrapes by A-Tier, because of its recoil, which makes itunwieldy in long and mid-range fights. At close range, though, it’s amazing.

Relic 30-30 Repeater

The 30-30 is the first marksman weapon on this list and is justthe strongest marksman in the game right now. It’s amazing atmid to long-range, but the Sentinel just does it that much better with its charged state. Don’t underestimate the 30-30, though; it can still poke a team to deathwith precise aim.

Relic Wingman

Back from the good old days, the Wingman is back in its full glory! Except… well, the games have changed now, and with so many weapons to pick from, the Wingman can only begood in the hands of true veterans. Still, it absolutelydecimates enemies at most rangesif you know how to use it.

Map Hack

The Map Hack Boost Kit lets youscan enemies periodically on your mini-mapfor you and your teammates. It’s great to reveal enemies, but if they’re close enough to be on your mini-map, then you canprobably hear them, too. What it’s great at is sniffing out solo players that are sneaking around, and because of that, it sits comfortably in B-Tier.

Squad Heal

When you heal, your squad matesheal for the same amount too. It is simple, but it can be very effective in certain situations. However, the range is quite small, so unless your teammates are really close, it doesn’t do much. It’s far from useless, and has a lot ofclutch potentialfor enemies that don’t know you have it.

C-Tier Rift Relic Loot

Loot found in this tier issituational, but still greatat what it can do. Think of loot in this tier as beingas good as regular Legendary Weaponsand items found very rarely around the map, though you’re able to, of course, obtain thesealmost immediately after landing, with how many Rift Relics spawn then.

For that reason, these items will help you very muchin that early game, but if you survive it,they should be swapped outfor something above this tier.

The Relic Pulse Blade found in Rift Relics in Apex Legends.

Relic G7 Scout

It excels at mid-range, but it weirdly enough comes with a Sniper Scope. If you find any other scope, though, this weapon ripsin the early gamebut is quite handily beaten by the Relic 30-30 at being a marksman. Still,it’s better than any mildly upgraded weaponfound in the wild.

Relic Charge Rifle

The Charge Rifle is now becoming so good in the regular game thatthis version feels slightly inferior. That is, of course, if you find all the legendary parts to make it that good, and this comes with all the attachments ready to go. This weapon isgood at what it does, but there are better alternatives.

Phase Rewind

It can be activated togo back a few steps, working essentially asa mini version of the Alter ultimateability. The downside here is youdon’tknow where you’re headingwhen you activate it. It’s better than dying, though, and if you can trigger it when you’d like to heal,it can save you, but that uncertainty makes it hard to recommend.

Reactive Regen

You heal slowlywhen out of combat. It’s great if you don’t have heals ready to go, but that’s all the praise we can give it. It shines the brightest inthe early gamewhen you’ve just won your first fight anddon’t have any heals on youfor the next squad that’s heading your way.

D-Tier Rift Relic Loot

There aren’t a lot of items in this tier, simply because not a lot of Rift Relic loot is disappointing in the slightest. However, the ones in this tier areso situationalthat you’re better off going with whatever you can kit out viaregular looting methods. Still, they’re better than nothing, so they can be used when you’ve had no luck or have just landed.

EPG-1

It was really hard to place this here, but it just hasvery little room to really shine in the game. It’s a grenade launcher, so you’re sacrificing one of your weapon slots to have amildly mediocre set of very slow explosive projectiles. It is very situational for this, but can be used in a couple niche scenarios.

Relic L-Star

The regular L-Star has come a long way to the point wherepicking this just doesn’t make a lot of sense. Again, if you’ve got nothing and really want some L-Star action,it’ll deal a lot of damage, but by all means, it is outclassed in this loot table.

Hover

You canhover in the airfor a few seconds if you ADS. This can be used for parkour, but that’s about it, as in combat, you’re just making yourself a very shiny target.
