Assassin’s Creed Shadowsis very combat-heavy, so you’ll be killing plenty of guards and samurai as you make your way through the story. In the second half of the game, you may become wanted if you kill enough enemies in a single area.

Being wanted means enemies will attack you on sight at any time of the day. That makes exploration really frustrating, especially when you’re trying to be stealthy at Naoe. Thankfully, there are a couple of ways to remove a wanted status so that you may get back to wandering around the beautiful landscape freely.

Change The Season

The first thing you’re able to do to remove your wanted status is to change the season.Whenever the season changesin-game, whether automatically or manually by you,any and all regional alerts will be removed.

Pause the game and head to the inventory screen, and you’ll see the current season progress meter in the top right of the screen, shown by a compass.

Whenever you’re in the middle of a quest, you won’t be able to, buthold right on the d-pad if you’re able to to change the season. That will then remove all wanted statuses. Since you usually won’t be able to, you may have to wait until the game changes the season for you, which is normally every few quests or so.

Wanted statuses are applied to individual regions on the map. You can also head to another region if you’re fed up of being attacked on site at all times.

Remove Wanted Status With Scouts

The other way to remove wanted status in Assassin’s Creed Shadows requires some set up. You first need toupgrade your Kakurega in your Hideout to level two. That will allow you to use scouts to “clear regional alerts.” The upgrade costs:

Once you’ve done that, head to the map and hover over the regionwith the wanted alert. Then, hold X if you’re on PlayStation or A if you’re on Xbox to remove the alert with a scout. That means you won’t have to wait until the season changes.
