Summary
Baldur’s Gate 3has a huge modding community, one thatLarianhas fostered byreleasing mod toolsand evensupporting mods on console. So, it’s no surprise that some fans are taking it upon themselves torelease their own campaigns, acting as unofficial expansions for the hit RPG.
Path to Menzoberranzan is one such mod. This custom campaign is taking players to the titular Drow city, but also to Athkatla, where we spent most of our time inBaldur’s Gate 2. Needless to say, creating entirely new maps in Baldur’s Gate 3 and tying it together with quests - not to mentionadding new companions- is a huge undertaking, and one that the team could do with some help on.

Speaking toVideoGamer, project lead Gregory ‘Lotrich’ Barak says that the team is now looking for more artists. This is in aid of both coming up with new concept art for the campaign, and also working on new cutscenes.

Right now, the team is looking forenvironmental artists, technical artists, animators, cinematic artists, andhair and grooming artists. This is so more unique assets can be created for the game, making it an even more ambitious project.
If you think you’re up to the task, there’s aDiscord serveryou can check out. You can also join to keep track of the campaign’s progress, as updates and screenshots are shared in the server regularly.

While the team are recruiting, there’s already plenty to check out. This includes the stunning recreation of Waukeen’s Promenade, an area in Athkatla.
