Summary
There are several different types of team compositions you’re able to play inMarvel Rivals. One of the hardest to learn, and most frustrating to play against is dive compositions. In essence, a dive composition involves heroes that catch the enemy backline by surprise, play off-angles, and flank their opponents.
But, if you want to play a dive composition, which heroes should you play? This list has you covered. For this list, we’re focusing on flexible team composition options that can create dynamic dive opportunities across all three roles, Vanguard, Strategist, and Duelist. Here are the best dive compositions in Marvel Rivals.

Strategist
Mantis, Rocket, Adam Warlock
This is a fun composition that has a healthy mix of poke and dive damage. Duelists like Wolverine and Starlord are great for dive comps as they can both take surprising off-angles and can escape relatively easily when needed. Hulk can push forward and provide his Strategists with shields, protecting them.
Mantis provides the team with at least one ultimate that can counter the other team’s ults, while Rocket has good overall healing, and Adam can help revive fallen teammates like Starlord who might push too far.

Luna Snow, Invisible Woman
This team composition assumes that you’re going to have nobody playing the actual point, and is best for Convergence and Convoy modes. Venom and Thor can dive enemy strategists, and have good abilities that allow them to sustain themselves without needing constant heals.
The same principle applies to Iron Fist and Magik, who can both either heal themselves or provide themselves with bonus health. Then, play Luna and the Invisible Woman, who can both keep up with the team, and save the team by using their ultimate to counter others.

Cloak & Dagger, Loki
For Domination maps, consider this composition that’s well suited for the mode. Captain America tends to struggle on Convoy and Convergence maps, as he’s a big target that can really only use his shield to defend himself temporarily. On Domination maps, both he and the Thing can play off angles to pick off Strategists and Duelists in the enemy backline.
Black Panther and Psylocke are great choices on Domination maps, as they can play aggressive and easily escape to find health packs if needed. Cloak & Dagger works well thanks to her ultimate, which Loki can either copy or use his Regeneration Domain to counter powerful abilities.

Thor or Hulk
Cloak & Dagger, Invisible Woman
Playing against a team of fliers is no joke, especially ina highly competitive match. Storm and Thor, of course, have a great team-up ability together, and Cloak & Dagger can easily hit healing shots on high mobility fliers thanks to her autolock aim.
The Invisible Woman’s ultimate can also hit fliers thanks to its vertical shape. Thor rounds out the team comp by being able to help peel for Strategists on the ground, while also having a decent amount of mobility himself thanks to his Storm Surge. you may also play Hulk to provide shields for on-the-ground Strategists.

Invisible Woman, Luna Snow or Mantis
One key aspect of running great dives is making sure you have crowd control abilities off cool down. Heroes like Venom and Peni each have great abilities that limit the mobility of enemy heroes. Plus, Peni has great vertical mobility thanks to her crawling ability, and her team-up ability with Venom, which also works for Spider-Man.

Plus, Spider-Man and Squirrel Girl have a great team-up ability in this composition. Squirrel Girl can’t really dive, but she can take interesting off-angles and stop enemies in their tracks with her Squirrel Blockade ability. Finally, select either Invisible Woman, Luna Snow, or Mantis, who all have abilities that can slow or halt enemies cold.
Moon Knight, Psylocke, or Punisher

Rocket, Loki, or Luna Snow
This dive composition is more about playing surprising angles rather than diving straight into the backline in the way Black Panther or Iron Fist might. Groot can section off angles with his walls so that the enemy team can’t surprise backline Strategists, or can at least trap enemy divers. Thor can absorb damage in the frontline while also taking some fun flank angles.

Moon Knight, Psylocke, and Punisher can all take great angles, and have the mobility to reach high spots or hidden passageways. Set up your Punisher Turret in the right spot and you can get an Ace in no time flat. Finally, Rocket and Loki have good mobility to also play surprising angles out of reach, but Luna might help in a pinch just thanks to her ultimate.
Luna Snow, Jeff the Land Shark, Mantis
Combine all four elements with this interesting composition. True, Jeff the Land Shark isn’t all that powerful of a healer, which is why you’ll want to play a triple support game with this comp. Thor, Storm, andthe Human Torchall synergize well with each other as well.
The trick to running this comp well is tomake sure you’re using commsto call out when enemies are stunned or frozen thanks to Mantis and Luna’s respective abilities. Thor, Storm, or the Human Torch can all finish them off in no time. Plus, having two powerful support ultimate can help keep the team up so long as they reassemble and retreat at the right times.

This composition is really only good if you can get your ultimate abilities synced up properly. Of course, Groot isn’t really a dive Vanguard, so he’ll mostly be playing the point or pushing up to take space slightly. The real power here comes in the form of his ultimate.
Because Groot can trap enemies in place with his ultimate, he synergizes well with dive heroes like Scarlet Witch, Iron Man, and Captain America, who can follow up on Groot’s ultimate really well. Use Luna or the Invisible Woman’s ult to keep Scarlet Witch up during this period, and you may get a full-team wipe in seconds.

Another popular composition to run in Marvel Rivals is what’s called a rush composition, meaning you have a decent number of heroes packed together, rushing forward to take out stragglers as they wipe the enemy team clean. You can create a half-dive, half-rush composition with the above heroes.
The Thing and Magneto are both good for playing the point when necessary, but can also push forward and take a lot of space. Psylocke and Iron Fist both work well with Luna’s Idol Aura heal, and Invisible Woman can focus on keeping Vanguards up in the backline.
Cloak & Dagger, Adam Warlock
This team is all about separating the enemy Vanguards from their team. Each hero in this roster has an ability that can either force a Vanguard out of position, or inflict high damage on them quickly.
Technically, some of these heroes aren’t dive heroes (like Winter Soldier, for example). However, if you rush forward with Wolverine or even Groot, who can wall off Vanguards, you’re able to pick off the enemy team’s main line of defense quickly.
