The iconic PPSH-41 is back inCall of Duty: Black Ops 6, reinvigorating the SMG family with its blistering rate of fire and excellent mobility stats. It’s a powerhouse in both Multiplayer and Zombies, but that’s only if you use the right combination of attachments.

Out of the box, the PPSH suffers from horrendous recoil and a pitiful magazine size. But thanks to the Gunsmith, you can turn the PPSH-41 into one of the strongest weapons in Black Ops 6. Today, we’ll be showing two builds that help the PPSH reach its full potential, one for Multiplayer and another for Zombies.

Black Ops 6 PPSH-41 Battle Pass

How To Unlock The PPSH-41

The PPSH-41 is unlocked through theSeason 2 Battle Pass.It is the final reward on Page 6, requiring at least 29 Battle Pass tokens to unlock. Blackcell owners may choose to unlock this page early to gain faster access. Unlocking the weapon through the Battle Pass or an in-game bundle will leave it permanently unlocked for Multiplayer and Zombies, even after you prestige.

Armory Unlock

Once Season 2 is over, the PPSH-41 will be moved to the Armory Unlocks system. Select this weapon in the Armory menu to passively unlock it through XP.

Pros And Cons

The PPSH-41 is a monstrous SMG for Multiplayer, provided you can control the weapon’s equally monstrous recoil. Fortunately, the Gunsmith can help with this. AVertical Gripis mandatory to get the weapon’s zig-zag recoil pattern under control, which we can further clamp with aCompensatormuzzle. If you throw onRecoil Springsas your fire mod, you’ll have an SMG with virtually zero recoil for the first 15 shots.

Now that the recoil is under control, we can upgrade the weapon’s overall lethality.Extended Mags IIgreatly increases your magazine size, and aLong Barrelgives a sizable increase to your effective damage range. We finish the build withan optic, a Quickdraw Stock, and a Target Laser.

Red perks are ideal here, so we’ll be speccing for theEnforcer specialty. Kills will kickstart your HP regeneration and grant a temporary speed boost, two useful traits for an SMG build. To gain this set bonus, we use three red perks:Scavenger, Assassin, and Double Time.Throw on theGunfighterWildcard to complete the build.

Not many changes are needed to make the PPSH excel in Zombies. Compared to our MP build, we opt to replace a couple of attachments. The Vertical Foregrip is replaced with aRanger Foregripfor bonus sprint speed, and we’ve opted to drop Recoil Springs forRapid Fireinstead, providing a minor fire rate buff at the cost of more recoil. Since accuracy isn’t as important in Zombies, the loss in recoil control is hardly an issue.
