Every modern Sniper Elite game can be played in a number of different ways, andSniper Elite: Resistanceis no different in that regard. And while there are a wide variety of different strategies you can employ, they usually fall into one of two categories: loud or quiet.

The stealthier approach requires quite a bit of finesse and some careful planning in order to pull off. You don’t just have to be prepared during the mission, either; in order to truly have a stealthy mission end in a success, you’re going to need to build a loadout specifically tailored to fit your needs.

The Stealth loadout in Sniper Elite Resistance.

Best Stealth Loadout

This loadout aims to give youall the tools necessaryto getthrough a missionin Resistancewithout the enemies ever being alerted to your presence, at least not until they’re dead. Much of this is going torequire earning some unlocksto achieve, especially regarding weapon attachments.

Loadout Overview

This is a glance at thefull loadout, but without detailing the weapon attachments or reasoning behind everything included.

Item 6 (Gained with skills points)

Decoy

Best Primary Weapon

TheLee NO.4makes regular appearances in some of the best loadouts around, and for good reason: it’sa great rifle. It has some of thebest versatilityin the game. And for our purposes here, it fits beautifully.

This weapon has some of thebest range potential in the gamebut can also be adjusted to have afire rate that allows it to hold its own in mid-range.

Best Attachments For The Lee NO.4

The Lee NO.4 has the possibility of gaining anextremely low audible rangefor a rifle when using the right attachments, and that’s exponentially more true when combined withSubsonic ammo.

This table does not cover every attachment slot; it only covers the ones that are relevant for this build.

Receiver

Short Travel Trigger

These attachments have a two-fold effect: they dramaticallyreducethe Lee NO.4’saudible range, as theyincrease the fire rate. This means you can fire your rifle without anyone the wiser in most situations, and if an enemy requires two shots to finish, that second shot can get off before they have a chance to make it to cover or alert their allies.

BothSubsonicandNon-Lethalammo are thequietestammo typesin the game. While you won’t need them very often with this weapon’s build, they’regreat for interior environmentsthat are particularly infested with Nazis.

Best Secondary Weapon

This one is a bit of a difficult choice, and in terms of pure audible range, the ERMA.36 beats the UD-42 very slightly. However, theUD-42beats theERMA.36in terms ofdamage-per-secondbecause of thehigher fire rate.

Considering that most situations, even closer range, can be handled with your rifle, you’ll likelyonly be pulling out the secondary weaponwhenan enemy has seen you, and you need to put them down quickly before they can fire. The better damage-per-second gives you a better chance at accomplishing this, even if it makes for a gun that is very slightly louder.

Lightened Bolt

Thesuppressor, magazine, andspecial ammowill combine to make this weaponextremely quiet, while the Lightened Bolt is going toincrease the rate of fire. The Quick-Draw Grip is going to help the weaponcome out a little faster, making it easier to drop that enemy before it can make a sound.

Best Pistol

Thequietest pistolin the game is undisputedly theWelrod. That does not make it an easy pistol to use, and missing a shot with the Welrod can prove catastrophic. It has anextremely low fire rate, meaning that if you miss an enemy or if they don’t go down in one shot, it’s very likely they’ll make a sound before that next shot hits them.

But at its best, the Welrod is thebest stealth option out there.Once you’re comfortablewith it, it cansave you a lot of rifle ammoand be thequietest possible firearm.

Best Attachments For The Welrod

The Welrod doesn’t require too many attachments to work effectively in this loadout. Still, these attachments will serve you well.

Reinforced Overpressure

These attachments bothmake the Welrod quieterandmore lethal. Enemies that wear helmets can be a particular problem for the Welrod since, occasionally, the first shot on a helmet can just knock it off rather than kill the Nazi.

With the extra damage these attachments give you, you’ll be able to aim more for the neck or the top of their spine. That will fairly consistently be lethal, make for an easier target, and keep enemies from living long enough to tell tales about you.

Best Items

Items in this loadout are mostly suited tohealing you back up, orputting enemies down quietly.

Med Kit

TheMed Kitis going tobring your health to fullfrom wherever it started. It can alsorevive you, provided you’ve got the ‘Back In The Fight’ skill unlocked.

Ideally, with this loadout, you are never going to be in a position to get shot. But things don’t always go as planned, andgoing in withoutanyhealing itemscanmake a bad run worse.

Bandages

Bandagesserve thesame purpose as the Med Kit, just to a smaller degree. These willstop bleedingandbring back one health chunk.

Grenade (Two)

Itmay seem counter-intuitiveto bring grenades with you in a stealth loadout, but not all grenades explode the same way.

Impact Grenades explode quietlyandknock out enemies. It won’t put them down permanently, but it willput them down without nearby enemies hearing it, and you’re able to always finish them off with the Welrod.

The Decoy in the Stealth loadout in Sniper Elite Resistance.

Impact Grenades areperfect for situationswhere there aretwo Nazis standing near each other. What would otherwise be a difficult situation to take care of quietly is made easy bytossing an Impact Grenadebetween them.

This loadout brings along two slots of grenades, all intended to be Impact Grenades.

Schu-Mine

TheSchu-Mineis another non-lethal explosive, this time acting as aquiet,non-lethal proximity mine. You won’t often be in a situationwhere you can use these instead of simply shooting an enemy or using an Impact Grenade, but they can watch your back quite wellin densely populatedinteriorareas.

Sometimes, you’re going to get spotted, and when you do, theDecoycan helpget you out of the situationwithout enemies even knowing you left. They’ll work on surrounding the Decoy while you work around behind them. Once they’ve realized what’s happened, you’ll have regained your stealth.

These can also be used as theirfusedvariants, drawing enemy attention awaywhile you move through areas that arebeing watched.
