The iconic FAL is back inCall of Duty: Black Ops 6. Named the TR2 in this installment, this marksman rifle trades raw stopping power for a blistering fire rate, downing opponents in three hits if you aim center mass. If you can land a single headshot, you’ll down opponents in just two bullets. Accuracy is highly rewarded with the TR2, making it a fantastic option for mid-range combat.
However, as with all weapons in Black Ops 6, getting the most out of the TR2 will require the right build. Today, we’ll be looking at two powerful builds for the TR2 that make it a fantastic option in both core Multiplayer and Zombies.
Pros And Cons
Willis x3
While the TR2 is technically classified as a marksman rifle, it’s best to treat it as a semi-auto assault rifle like theGoblin Mk.2. You’ll want to spec the TR2 forrecoil mitigation and ADS speedto use it effectively at medium range, as the gun’s default recoil makes it difficult to fire at max RPM at a distance.
You’ll need every recoil attachment you’re able to get. ACompensator, Ranger Foregrip, and Recoil Springseffectively remove all recoil from this weapon, allowing you to spam the trigger to your heart’s content. A3x magnification scopeis also recommended to make the weapon more effective at medium range. We use the Willis x3 scope, but feel free to use any optic.
After installing aQuickdraw Grip, you’re out of attachment slots by default, so we’ll be using theGunfighter Wildcardto fix the rest of the TR2’s issues.Extended Mags Igives you a sizable 30-round magazine without a major penalty to your reload speed.Target Lasermakes idle sway a non-issue, and aLong Barrelhelps this weapon compete at longer distances.
Loadout Recommendations
You don’t need any specific perks to make the TR2 a solid dueling weapon, so your perk options are mostly down to preference. We recommendStrategistsince you’ll most likely be fighting targets from a distance. you may lean into calling in killstreaks with Dispatcher in place of Fast Hands, but we recommend the latter since you can pair it with theSirin 9mmfor a strong close-range weapon.
We’re using the same setup as our Multiplayer configuration for Zombies, as the weapon’s erratic recoil makes it tough to control when it’s Pack-A-Punched into a burst weapon. The only major difference is we replaced Recoil Springs withRapid Fire, making its bursts cycle much faster when Pack-A-Punched. If the recoil becomes too difficult to handle, you’re able to keep using Recoil Springs.
