Delirium naturally spawned on a map in the endgame Atlas of Path of Exile 2. Completing the Delirium encounter in this map will reward players with some Distilled Emotions.

Path of Exile 2 is currently in Early Access. The information in the guide is subject to change as the game continues further development.

How To Get Distilled Emotions

The primary way of getting Distilled Emotions is torun maps with a Delirium encounter. These maps are denoted by asmall white iconon theendgame Atlas. The first thing that you will notice upon entering these maps is theDelirium Fog. Your objective is tostay in the Delirium Fogwhilekilling as many monstersas you possibly can.

As you are killing monsters,a meter in the bottom-left cornerof your screen will continue tofill up with rewards. The higher number of rewards you get, the more Distilled Emotions you will receive at the end of the encounter. To get the most out of it, try toadd Pack Size,Monster Rarity, and any additional encounter that adds extra monsters, likeRitual or Expedition.

How To Use Distilled Emotions

Distilled Emotions serve two primary purposes, e.g.Anointing Amuletsand addingDelirium Effects to your Waystones. The process is fairly simple, but there are a few things to keep in mind.

Anoint Amulets

Anointing essentially lets you get thebenefits of a Notable Passive Skillwithout having to allocate it on the Passive Tree. This can be veryhelpful in endgame buildswhen you need a specific Passive Skill, but donot have enough Skill Pointsto path to it.

For instance,Icebreakeris an excellent Anoint for aStormweaver Spark buildthatprovides Freeze immunity, but to actually travel to that node, you will need around ten additional Skill Points.

In order toAnoint an Amulet, interact with any Distilled Emotion(right-click on PC, X/Square on consoles) in your inventory to open up theAnointing Menu. In this window, place the requiredDistilled Emotions at the bottom, and yourAmulet in the top slot.

Keep in mind that theorder of the Distilled Emotionscan change the Anoint, so make sure to double-check it.

Once ready, click the‘Anoint’button at the bottomto add your desired Anoint (effects of a Notable Passive Skill) to your Amulet. At any point, tocheck which Distilled Emotionsa Notable Passive Skill requires, open up the Passive Tree, hover over a node, andpress Alt(R3 on consoles).

If you do not want to go through the trouble of checking every Notable Passive Skill, you’re able to simplyuse thisAnoint Calculatorto see what different combinations of Distilled Emotions will allocate.

At the time of writing this guide, there isno way to Anoint a Corrupted or a Mirroreditem. This feature is available in the original Path of Exile, so it should not take long to get added to Path of Exile 2.

Anoint Waystones

In addition to Anointing an Amulet, you may alsouse Distilled Emotionsto add variousDelirium Effects to your Waystones. Doing so allows you toadd additional layers of rewardsthat you can get from running these Waystones.

Similar to Amulets, right-click (X/Square on consoles) on any Distilled Emotion toopen the Installing Menu. Place your desiredDistilled Emotions at the bottom, and yournon-Corrupted Waystone at the top.

It is important to mention thatDelirium Maps are significantly harder, so you will need a fairlystrong buildto complete them.
