Summary
ACall of Duty: Black Ops 6dataminer has found evidence of daily login rewards in the game’s files, suggesting they might be added to the game at some point in Season 3.
For years now,Call of Dutygames have had the same turbulent release pattern. When they launch, they’re lauded as the best in the series, but as time passes the complaints come rolling in and the player counts go rolling down. That process has happened even faster with Black Ops 6,which has just recorded its lowest player-count since release.
There are a lot of reasons why Call of Duty players are less fond of Black Ops 6,from its use of generative AIto theexpensive microtransactions and DLC. Whatever the case, it seems thatActivisionis aiming to give players more reasons to come back, as evidenced by some files found by a dataminer.
Black Ops 6 Could Be Bringing Back Daily Login Rewards
As reported by Insider Gaming, Twitter user and Call of Duty dataminer realityuk_recently dived into the game’s files after the launch of Season 2 and found an interesting discovery.According to their Twitter post, Black Ops 6’s files have a currently unused menu screen that indicates daily login rewards are making a comeback to the series.
Daily login rewards were previously seen in Modern Warfare 3, so it’s not really clear why they’re not in Black Ops 6 already.
The image shows a menu noting that players can earn all of the rewards by logging in on seven separate days. It’s not clear if this is just a one-time thing or if it’s going to make a permanent comeback, but considering how annoyed players were when the feature was absent from Black Ops 6, it’s sure to taken well when they return.
As well as discovering the menu, realityuk_ speculated that the feature is going to be added for Season 3 of Black Ops 6, which is whenVerdansk is expected to return to Warzone. Those two things combined could see a bit of an uptick for the game after its slump this month, so it’d make sense for daily login rewards to be paired together.
For now, though, the datamine should be taken as nothing more than a rumour with a fair bit of evidence behind it, as Activision hasn’t publicly confirmed it. There’s little reason for the featurenotto be added back in eventually, but it’s worth waiting on an official reveal before you start planning on making daily logins.
