Summary

It wasn’t that long ago thatActivisionannounced a major rework toCall of Duty: Black Ops 6’sCare Packages, which would finally make them worth using. In an early January update, it was confirmed that Scout Pulses would be less common in the Scorestreak, meaning players would have a higher chance of getting something decent.

That update certainly solved one of the streak’s major issues, but it wasn’t enough for many players. Since the change, there have been multiple calls from fans for the speed at which their teammates can capture a Care Package to be nerfed.

Black Ops 6 Players Are Calling For Care Package Capture Speed Nerfs

Over on the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6subreddit, there have beennumerous callsfor nerfed Care Package capture speeds, the most pertinent coming from Reddit user and Black Ops 6 player freezerwaffles.

In a video shared on Reddit, freezerwaffles can be seen deploying a Care Package near their spawn on Nuketown. Within milliseconds of the package touching down, the player sprints towards it, racing against one of their teammates. But by the time freezerwaffles was there, ready to collect the package, their teammate had already stolen it.

There was physically no way they could have been quicker to the punch, but they were still usurped by their team, highlighting just how bad the issue is.

The good news is, despite how frustrating this issue can be, Activision andTreyarchare actively looking into it. On the game’sTrellopage, there is anactive cardthat states, “Care Packages can be claimed by teammates faster than intended.”

Unfortunately, the card has been live since January 9 and is still ‘under investigation’, so it doesn’t seem like a fix is close, but at least it has been acknowledged by the game’s development team.
