Summary

It’s probably safe to assumeMonster Hunter Wildshas been a monster hit forCapcomwithalmost 1.4 million people playing it on Steam within hours of its launch. If you’re a fan of the designs of some of the monsters millions of you have been hunting for the past few weeks, a few of them have already been turned into plushes, although their chibi designs look a little different than the ones in the game.

Capcom effectively counted down to the launch of Monster Hunter Wildsby releasing plush versions of its in-game creations throughout 2024. Now that Wilds is, well, in the wild, it hasn’t hung around when it comes to turning some of the newest monsters introduced to the series via the latest installment into soft toys to go along with the influx of plushes released throughout the last 12 months.

The first three Wilds monsters selected for plush duty are Doshaguma, Rey Dau, and of course, Arkveld, because it would be weird if the new monster that was chosen to be the Wilds' cover star didn’t get a plush before some of the other newest monsters to the series. Like most otherMonster Hunterplushes, the new soft toys are cuter, chibi-style takes on the intimidating beasts that call the Forbidden Lands home.

Monster Hunter Wilds Already Has Plushes Based On Some Of Its New Additions

This Version Of Arkveld Doesn’t Look Quite As Daunting

Also like other Monster Hunter plushes, the toys are described as being deformed since they don’t look like they do in the games, which I think is a little mean.

Even though all three of the debuting Wilds plushes are available to pre-orderat sites like Hobby GenkiandMeccha Japan, you’re going to have to wait quite a while to get your hands on them. It’s also not entirely clear when the plushes will ship with various dates circulating. It seems they will be released and sent to you at some point in October of this year should you pre-order them between now and then. The prices also vary but not much, each costing around $19.

Joining the Wilds plush trio and releasing around the same timeis a Felyne plush. The design is based on the pendant you can hang on weapons or from your Sekret in Monster Hunter Wilds. Some pre-existing monsters have also been given new plush designs with Khezu, Tigrex, and Palico getting Squishmallow-style Fuwatama plushes.

If Wilds' performance onPCis still leaving a bad enough taste in your mouth that you can’t bear the thought of giving Capcom more money via its new plushes, maybe givethe performance guide players have put togethera look. It might hold the key to fixing any issues you’re having.
