Following yesterday’s unveiling ofTrokka, a bizarre wizard’s apprentice wielding a pink jellyfish umbrella, we have Skalpel. This “chaos-corrupted commander” carries the coffin of a murderous general atop his back, which he can even clobber us over the head with.

Here’s Your First Look At Skalpel, A New Boss In The First Berserker: Khazan
We see some repulsive spider-like tendrils crawl out of the coffin mid-fight, as well as disembodied arms, but we don’t actually know what’s inside — either way, the spirit of that murderous general clearly lives on.

Skalpel carries a murderous general’s coffin on his back, it is unknown what he carries inside the coffin. Skalpel was a man of faith and loyalty, but he also had a natural affinity for brutality and bloodshed. Driven by an insatiable thirst, he began to desire ever increasing amounts of blood.
Don’t let the giant coffin strapped to Skalpel’s back deceive you, though; he appears to be an agile opponent even with that heavy casket weighing him down, as we see him leap towards the player at breakneck speed, unleashing a flurry of attacks.
Stay too close to deflect each blow, and you risk getting caught up in his AOE attack. As we see in the trailer, Skalpel can leap into the air, ripping bloodied spikes from the ground to impale you. However, at one point it does appear as though the coffin shatters, but whether that’s agoodthing, we’ll have to wait and see.
The First Berserker Launches on March 27, and we have a few more bosses to show you over the weekend, so stay tuned.
