Summary
Civilization 7’s first major update and DLC is out now. However, it doesn’t seem that the release has gone off without a hitch, as players are reporting that there is much more content in the DLC than they expected.
While this sounds like the opposite of a problem for players, it’s confusing, nonetheless. Over on the Civilization subreddit, Civ 7 players are sharing screenshots of Simon Bolívar being added into the game, despite the fact that neither the update nor DLC was supposed to add him in today.

Civilization 7 Mix Up Appears To Have Put Future Content In The Game Early
If you’re spotting Simon Bolívar in your game all of a sudden, you’re not alone
Details are popping up on the subreddit about this, as players immediately noticed that something was up when Simon Bolívar appeared in their games. In turn, one of the posters says this grants you access to Bulgaria and Nepal, sharing pictures of this in the replies.
Reddit user No_Solid_1998 also expanded on Bolívar in-game. “He unlocks Mexico on Modern Age. He earns 1 war support in his wars. When conquering one new settlement for the first time he can buy a constructible for free,” they write. “He is a militaristic and expansionist leader.”

The Simon Bolívar DLC pack was supposed to launch on March 25, so this has come a full three weeks ahead of its intended release. Firaxis is yet to comment on this apparent error, so it remains to be seen if another update is rolled out to remove the content once again, or if the devs just decide to leave it in.
In any case, this doesn’t help Firaxis defend itself fromclaims that the game was rushed. Last month,a player found dev tools in the final release, adding to concerns that the game wasn’t ready to ship.
