Yesterday, the official CDPRTwitteraccount shared listings for seven new jobs, including alead encounter designer, which gives us an indication of the scope and ambitions the team is aiming for.

Cyberpunk 2077 had lofty ambitions, which, four years after release, it managed to fulfill. It seems, though, that following the success of 2077, CD Projekt doesn’t plan to rest on its laurels, with the new game aiming for certain elements to be better than all of its competitors.
The lead encounter designer job is an important one, working with various departments on Orion. However, most interestingly, the role will “Work in close collaboration with the systems design team to create the most realistic and reactive crowd system in any game to date.”

Given that the first Cyberpunk title was lauded for its vibrant world, with residents ofNight Cityall having their parts to play, it will be interesting to see how much further the team can take it in the sequel.

While not giving as much away, the role will also be in charge of designing “memorable combat encounters based on predefined narrative, environmental and gameplay themes.”
Another new listing for a senior gameplay programmer alsofurthers the rumors that the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel will include multiplayer. One of the job’s daily responsibilities suggests the successful applicant will “Build and maintain solid and flexible gameplay systems that work in both single-player and multiplayer.”
