If you’ve reached the Shatterscarp area inAvowed, you’re likely already aware of the treasure map mechanic. In each main area, you can find up to three treasure maps giving you a clue for a location where you can find some of the best items in the game.

Dead Man’s Mail is one such treasure, and it’s one of the harder ones to locate if you haven’t paid attention to the surrounding landmarks. However, the reward you get from it is more than worth the trouble.

If you want to get the Dead Man’s Mail treasure in Shatterscarp, you’ll have to venture quite deep into the area. If you’ve just reached here, it’s recommended togrind a bit of itemsandget your gear to the superb tier before trying thissince the area around the map’s location is filled with high-tier enemies.

Once you’ve done that, you may head over to where you see the Great Sand Sea written on the map. The rock formation in the area where this text is written will have a big gap between two structures on the right side. You’llfind this map on a skeleton’s body at the bottom of this gap.

The skeleton will be lying down on amattress inside one of the campsin the area.

you’re able to find and claim Dead Man’s Mail treasure evenwithout finding the map if youvisit the right location. Upon claiming the treasure, it’ll automatically finish the treasure map quest and you won’t find the map on the skeleton’s body. To get this treasure, you have to head just to the north of the Great Sand Sea area.

In the Shark’s Teeth area, you’ll see a Tago’s Tower beaconwith a secluded building on the wall to the north of it. Teleport to this beacon and head towards the northern building where you’ll see a broken pillar creating a path to the top.

You can climb through this pillar and move to the other side of the building above tosee the golden chest containing this treasure.

You’ll have to expend three of your lockpicks to open this chest.

The main item you’ll get from this chest will be the Necropants armor. It cansummon a spectre to fight alongside you in battle.
