Summary

Disney Lorcanahas been going for a little while now, with its second anniversary coming in August later this year. During that time, players have become extremely familiar with the game’s mechanics, and have started calling for a bit of an interesting shake-up to keep things fresh. One of those ideas was Dual-Ink cards, allowing certain cards to break the boundaries of the standard single Ink format.

Thankfully, developer Ravensburger has seemingly heard those pleas and agrees that Dual-Ink cards are a pretty good idea.Announced via the Disney Lorcana Twitter account earlier today, it has been revealed that the upcoming Archazia’s Island - that is launching on March 10 later this year - will include at least one Dual-Ink card.

Disney Lorcana Archazia’s Island Introduces Dual-Ink Mechanic

The announcement post was accompanied by an official look at the first Dual-Ink card coming in Archazia’s Island, which will be Belle, Mechanic Extraordinaire. There have been a fair few Belle cards released since Lorcana’s debut, mostly in Sapphire, though she has had a couple of Amethyst and Emerald cards too.

Belle, Mechanic Extraordinaire is unsurprisingly also part Sapphire, as you can see in the tweet above, but she’ll also be part Ruby too. Unfortunately, she’s the only card that Ravensburger has decided to show off right now, though it does suggest in that tweet that more are on the way, with more info coming on February 10.

In other Lorcana news, Ravensburger also recently revealed the next set following Archazia’s Island and Reign of Jafar, whichwill be called Fabled and will be released at some point in Q3 2025. Just like the name suggests, it appears to be more focused on the fairytale elements of Disney, and we know from the cover art that Minnie and Mickey will be included. Fingers crossed we see more Dual-Ink cards there too.
