Summary
BioWareas we knew it is no more, asmany prominent devs have either been moved or laid off entirely. Give a huge shakeup at the company - and the fact thatMass Effect 5 isn’t ready for full development- it’s unclear what the remaining devs are doing.
However, it seems like at least a few people are keeping the lights on.Dragon Age: The Veilguardjust got some free DLC out of nowhere, with PC players being given theRook’s Weapons Appearance bundle.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard Gets Some Free DLC
The weapons are pretty horrifying, mind you
The DLC is seemingly only live for a limited time, as the description says that it is “available to players who purchase the game by July 19, 2025.” This means that anyone who picks The Veilguard up while it’s fifty percent off on Steam can also nab the DLC.
The entire Dragon Age series is on sale right now, letting you pick up all four games for less than The Veilguard cost at launch.

I just checked, and for whatever reason, this DLC hasn’t been made available onPlayStation 5. Some say these weapons were already in the game files, and the DLC just makes them available without having to mess around with it yourself, but that still doesn’t make it clear why they seemingly aren’t accessible on console.
Stranger still, there’s barely any fanfare about the DLC. There’s the obligatorynews poston Steam, but no mention of it on social media, as we saw with other updates. In fact, the wording of the last patchmade it pretty clear we wouldn’t see much more support for The Veilguard, with the team saying that it was moving on to only watch out for game-breaking bugs. Shortly after this, it was revealed thatBioWare was being restructured, which included layoffs.

It’s unclear if more DLC is on the way, but in all honestly, we shouldn’t expect anything else. Sorry, no new game plus after all.
