When you enter a world as big asAvowedwhere you can wander aimlessly and explore as much as you want, you can easily lose track of time. The only thing preventing you from completing your exploration is the main story as you can only unlock further areas by continuing it.
Apart from getting a bunch of random chests during this exploration, you can also try hunting specific treasures using the treasure maps that you can find in various locations. Earthy Aegis is one such map, and here’s how you can beat it.
Earthy Aegis Chest Location
Out of all the treasure maps you can find in the Emerald Stairs area of Avowed, Earthy Aegis islikely the hardest one to decipher as it doesn’t have a clear landmark. It simply shows a godless ruin tower in the distance that has the required chest. You can find this tower in the western part near Tama’s Cabin.
Start by teleporting to the beacon below the cabin and take the path going up on the northwest side. Once you’re up there,you’ll see the tower to the left of the beacon on the map. This cabin will have the chest in it, but the entry will be blocked. To unlock it, you’ll have to use a tree branch going around it.
Head to the cliff from the right side of the cabin and you’ll see the branch going around it. Walk on this branchuntil you reach a hole within the cabin where you can see the chest inside. On the right corner of this hole, you’ll see a small switch that you can press, which will open the door on the other side.
Once the door is open, simply walk back from the tree branch andyou can enter the cabin to claim your reward.
The sarcophagus willcontain a unique shield called theNature’s Ward. The special effect on it can deal damage to enemies when you block their attack and also have a chance to remove the poisoned effect on your character.
