There are four editions of Nightreign to choose from, but until April, you’re able to only place pre-orders for two of them. More on that in a second. Regardless of the platform you plan on playing, if all you want is the standard edition or the slightly more expensive deluxe edition, you can secure your copy of Nightreign right now and not have to think about it again until it unlocks on May 30, although I’m sure you’ll be thinking about it a lot.

There’s been some confusion over the Seeker and Collector’s Editions of Nightreign, the ones that come with physical items. The Seeker Edition is the deluxe edition with a SteelBook thrown in, while the Collector’s Edtion comes with other physical goodies including a Wylder statue. Bandai Namco’s site says pre-orders for these editions won’t be available until April, while some have reported they’re already live. It may depend on where you are in the world, and you can check via the links in the box below.

So, what is Nightreign exactly? If you have come here because you want more Elden Ring no matter what it is, but it would be nice to know a little more before you commit, you’ve come to the right place. Although Nightreign takes place in Limgrave, the same place as the original game, the spinoff’s procedurally generated nature means even those of you who know The Lands Between like the back of your hand are going to have trouble getting around every single time you visit.
Yes, you will be able to play Nightreign alone, but even the most hardened Tarnished will struggle to survive. Nightreign has been designed to be played by three people at a time. Team up and try to survive Limgrave for three nights with a final boss waiting for you if you do. It’s not clear why the game won’t let two of you embark on a Nightreign journey together, but I’m sureFromSoftwarehas its reasons.
