Summary
With theMythical Island expansion, we saw howPokemon Trading Card Game Pocketliked hiding Mew all around the set. This time around, in the Space-Time Smackdown, a different Pokemon is making its way around from card to card: the seafaring Pokemon, Manaphy.
While this mythical Pokemon has a few of its own cards in the mobile game, includinga promotional one, it’s joined some friends on a journey across Sinnoh, the region from Pokemon Diamond & Pearl. But which friends are they? This article will highlight each one, from one diamond rarities up to a one-star card.

All cards listed are found within the Space-Time Smackdown packs. The pack will be listed with each entry.
5Buizel
Found In Dialga And Palkia Packs
Buizel is a BasicWater-type Pokemonknown for dwelling in the waters all over the Sinnoh region, across multiple titles. Manaphy seems to know this too, as it joins Buizel in this card art. As Buizel swims on its back, it watches Manaphy, who is swimming just to keep up with the sea weasel.
you may find this card in either the Dialga or Palkia packs that make up the Space-Time Smackdown, meaning you have a pretty good shot at collecting this card for yourself. If you ever get sick of finding them in your packs, especially when searching down those last cards you need, think of how tranquil the two look, floating along, sharing the water.

While Buizel can be found in either pack, many Pokemon are only found in one or other, but not all packs that are part of the same set.
4Shellos
Found In Palkia Packs
This Shellos has a one-diamond rarity, even though it should be at least two. After all, you don’t only see the two variants of the sea slug Pokemon, but Manaphy too. It looks as though Manaphy is leaping out of the water to greet the pink and blue-hued Shellos as they sit on top of a large rock in the sea.
It’s a scene you could picture happening not only in Pokemon Diamond & Pearl, but even Pokemon Legends: Arcues. Passing by some of the stone formations and small islands while on the search for Manaphy. Though you don’t have to do much looking for it in this card art as it’s only a bit left of center.

If you are looking to gather every card with Manaphy in the background, you’ll want to focus on opening Palkia packs.
3Lumineon
Lumineon isn’t the most competitive of Pokemon, but it’s beautiful to look at. And it seems like Manaphy agrees. It’s dived into the waters to marvel at the neon Pokemon and all its majesty. Perhaps this is the result of Manaphy jumping out of the water in the Shellos card, crashing back under the waves to find this incredible scene.
With all the waterways being the connecting feature, it’s believable that this journey is happening in rapid succession. And what better way to spend some of the time in the day than by swimming just under the water’s surface and taking in the incredible aquatics and sea life. Give any trainer a snorkel and they will likely follow Manaphy down there.

2Staravia
The only non-Water-type in the group of Pokemon is Staravia, the starling Pokemon, which isa Colorless-Type, losing that Flying-typing. Instead of swimming with or near Manaphy, Staravia is flying just above the water. Manaphy is running behind on the surface, like a kid chasing after a kite or a real-life bird.
Staravia being a Colorless Pokemon works well as you may easily slot it into a Water-type deck if you want to keep the whole friend group together without affecting the kind of energy that will be needed to allow them to battle side-by-side. Though, if you were just judging the card by looks alone, battling seems like the farthest thing from Manaphy’s mind.

1Manaphy
Okay. Yeah, Manaphy is not hidden in this Manaphy, one-star rarity card. But the story of the other cards is woven into the delightful and playfully illustrated card. The river, stony cliffs, ocean, and shoreline are all depicted just behind Manaphy, who is proudly shown off in the middle of the card.
There are a few examples of continuous card art across Pokemon Pocket. Many players may already be aware of the Snorlax one-star card that weaves together the sleepy tale of Snorlax blocking the roads for Bellsprout, Oddish, and Venonat. Manaphy joins the ranks by bringing together the best of Sinnoh in one card.
