Ys Memoire: The Oath In Felghanais itself based on the PSP remake of the original 2006 Oath in Felghana game. The PSP remake added a New Game Plus system to the game, and that has been retained in this Memoire version of the game. It’s not quite the same as how many other games do this system though.
Here, you need to make choices about what you bring into New Game Plus, and the base game doesn’t actually dramatically change, either. It’s more a means of giving you the chance to customise your experience for when you want to revisit the game. Let’s break down how it all works.

How Do You Unlock New Game Plus?
Unlocking New Game Plus is the easy part, and functions much the same as every other game does. Once you beat the final boss and finish the game, you will be prompted to create Clear Data, which can be used to start New Game Plus. Nice and simple.
The main difference is that you cannot load this Clear Data to return to your previous save file, so make sure to save it in a new slot. Youstart a New Game Plus run by loading this data on the main menu, not by starting a new game itself. Slightly unusual, so bear that in mind.
If you want to, you canbeat the game again on an earlier save fileto acquire more gold, levels, etc. if you’d like those carried over into a New Game Plus run.
When you complete the game, you also unlock the Time Attack mode, though thisoperates independently of the difficulty level and equipmentyou havein any of your other save files.
What Changes In New Game Plus?
In most games, New Game Plus adds some extra new features and typically ups the difficulty as well, while allowing you to retain your previous level and equipment. That’s not strictly the case in Oath in Felghana. Here, you must select which bonuses you wantto bring into your New Game Plus run, with them limited by the number of points you have.
These points are gained based onthe difficulty you completed the game on, and are given as follows:
Inferno is only unlocked after beating the game once, regardless of difficulty, though can subsequently be used in either a regular New Game or a New Game Plus run.
These points are not cumulative, but ratherbased on the highest difficulty level the game has been beaten at. That means if you beat the game on Hard originally, but then finished the game on Normal in New Game Plus, you would still have 20 points to spend in future New Game Plus runs.
Here areall the bonusesyou can choose from in New Game Plus:
Cost
Inherit Gold And Raval Ore
Brings over all Gold and Raval Ore you had at the point of completing the game.
5 points
Inherit Armor Level and Expand Cap.
Retains the level you upgraded your armor to, and increases the upgrade cap from three to nine.
Inherit Status
These are your stats and levels, as well as many permanent increases given by Katol Elixirs.
Begin game with Dash ability
Gives you the ability to dash as soon as the game begins.
1 point
Begin game with 2x Jump and Boost
This gives you the ability to double-jump and double-charge your Boost from the beginning of the game.
Magic usage down and Recovery up
Magic uses less of the MP bar, and it recovers even faster.
4 points
Boost Recovery rate up
Max HP plus 50
Adds an extra 50 points to your HP
10 points
For the Inherit Armor Level bonus, keep in mind thatthis doesn’t give you all the armor back right away. You still need to find and buy them, they will just keep their level when you do.
Once you choose these options, you are locked in for the remainder of the game, though these can then be carried forward into future runs and so on. Only after beating the game on Inferno would you be able to activate every bonus at once.
