Summary
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirthdirector Naoki Hamaguchi has confirmed thatRemake Part 3will include the beloved scene where Tifa and Scarlet slap each other.
Even though Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth had thetall and unenviable task of adapting the most iconic scene from the original game, that doesn’t mean that the third and final game in the trilogy doesn’t have a lot of work ahead of it. As well as wrapping up its reimagined version of Final Fantasy 7’s story,Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 has lots of memorable moments it needs to include.
There are tons of examples of moments from the original Final Fantasy 7 that need to be adapted for the Remake’s third and final part, but one of the ones that stands out the most is the scene/minigame whereTifa gets to take out her frustrations in a slap fight against everyone’s least favourite character, Scarlet.
Don’t Worry, Tifa And Scarlet Will Slap Each Other In Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3
As beloved as Tifa and Scarlet’s slap fight is, the scene is so silly and Rebirth got so much grief for its endless minigames that a lot of fans wonderedwhether it was going to be adapted in the third and final part of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake. It turns out that there was no reason to worry, though, as the game’s director has confirmed the slap fight will make an appearance.
Over on Twitter, aitaikimochi pointed out that Rebirth’s directorNaoki Hamaguchi recently took part in an interview with Denfamicogamer, where he was asked about the Rebirth’s minigames and how they’ll continue into Part 3. Hamaguchi was specifically asked about the slap fight between Scarlet and Tifa and whether it’ll show up.
In response, Hamaguchi noted that he’s been asked a lot about the slapping minigame making it into Remake Part 3, and that it’s clear that a lot of fans want to see it. The director says that he thinks the team will be able to “make something really great”, suggesting that it definitely won’t be cut.
A lot of users have been saying that they want us to keep that part. Regarding that, I think we’ll be able to make something really great, so please look forward to it! - Naoki Hamaguchi
It’s not clear from Hamaguchi’s comments whether Tifa and Scarlet’s slap fight will still be a minigame or if it’ll be a more traditional cutscene, but we can at least rest assured that Scarlet’s going to get what’s coming to her.
