Summary
Epic Gameshas shared the first official teaser forFortniteChapter 6, Season 2, which will be called Lawless and take place in “Crime City”, confirming the previously leaked theme.
With the arrival of Fortnite OG Season 2 a few weeks ago, it doesn’t feel like all that long ago since we got the most recent Season of Fortnite’s regular Battle Royale mode. In reality, though, it’s actually been more than three months since theJapanese-themed “Hunters” season dropped and brought Baymax, Godzilla, and Kong with it.
As great, if a little long-running, as Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 1 was, it’s time to move on to what’s next for Fortnite.Outside of some rumours and leaks, we’ve had no idea what that’s going to be over the past few weeks, but Epic Games has just lifted the curtains with the first teaser for Chapter 6, Season 2.
Fortnite’s Focusing On Crime For Chapter 6, Season 2
Over on the official Fortnite Twitter,a short teaser was posted that reveals Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 2’s name as Lawless. That makes the theme pretty clear, but the account also confirmed that the upcoming Season, which goes live on February 21, will take place in “Crime City” and apparently feature a character called Big Dill.
Those clues all combine to make it clear that Fortnite’s next Season is going to be all about crime. There are some more clues in the image, like a wanted poster with a character that looks suspiciously like Midas, but it looks like we can expect to get up to some illegal shenanigans in just a few weeks.
With GTA 6 apparently still launching this year andGTA characters a constant in Fortnite character surveys, surely this season is the ideal time for a Rockstar Games collaboration?
Of course, to anyone who’s been paying attention to Fortnite leakers this month, this theme shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise. It’s been suggested for some time that Chapter 6, Season 2 would have some kind of heist or crime theme, which has just been proven to be the case. We’ll find out the rest of the season’s details, like its map and Battle Pass skins, closer to its release date later this month.
