Summary
Fortniteplayers are unwittingly discovering just how deadly hot tubs can be, as Chapter 6, Season 2 has added a cheeky easter egg that can insta-kill your team.
One of the most underappreciated things about Fortnite isjust how much detail and effort is put into each Chapter’s map. We all take it a bit for granted when we’rebored of the current season’s design and waiting for a new one, but Epic does sprinkle a lot of details every time there’s a refresh.
There have been a lot of examples of the kind of detail I mean in Fortnite’s nearly eight-year tenure, from a sign that knocks players off a cliff for emotingto thattime Tilted Towers was found frozen in the map.Chapter 6, Season 2 has added a brand-new and surprisingly easter egg that’s wiping out whole teams.
Don’t Get Four Fortnite Players In One Of Outlaw Oasis' Hot Tubs
As I’m sure every Fortnite player is well aware of by now, yesterday marked the start of Chapter 6, Season 2, which, as usual, changed the Chapter’s map up considerably with new landmarks and locations. One of those POIs is Outlaw Oasis, a seemingly peaceful spa resort for players to relax at.
Of course, most players are going to find themselves in firefights while hunting for loot in Outlaw Oasis, but that might not even be the most dangerous part of the area.As pointed out by Redditor Ill-Celebration2426 on the Fortnite subreddit, Outlaw Oasis is hiding a deadly secret with its hot tubs.
Well, I say secret, but the danger of these hot tubs is spelled out by a sign that reads “3 Max”. If you have one more player in the hot tub with you, the lights will flash red andeveryone will be ejected high up into the air, leading to an insta-kill when you eventually hit the ground, hopefully with a new respect for signs.
I suppose the hot tubs could also kill anyone who isn’t in a team, but good luck trying to lure anyone in without them shooting your first.
Although it’s very unlikely that a whole squad of Fortnite players are randomly going to hop into the hot tub as a team, it still acts as a funny way to have your whole team wiped out without even getting into a fight. As the reactions over social media have made clear, it seems that a decent amount of players are falling for Epic’s trick.
