Summary
A reliableFortniteinsider has claimed that Chapter 6, Season 2’sMortal Kombatcrossover will include a mythic that lets players use Scorpion’s Kunai and yell “GET OVER HERE” just like he does.
Fortnite has had so many crossovers and collaborations over the years, that it’s hard to imagine that any new ones will be particularly surprising or exciting. At least, that was how I feltbeforeChapter 6, Season 2’s line-up got revealed and it was confirmed thatMortal Kombat’s Sub-Zero is the season’s big guest star.
Mortal Kombat fans have been wanting to see the series (which is undeniably one of the biggest fighting games of all time) in Fortnite for a while now, and it looks like Sub-Zero is just the beginning. Shortly after Kuai Liang was confirmed as part of the Battle Pass, reliable leakers suggested that Scorpion will also join Fortnite as an Item Shop purchase later in the season.
Fortnite’s Mortal Kombat Crossover Will Reportedly Include Scorpion’s Kunai And Catchphrase
Skins for Scorpion and Sub-Zero are exciting enough on their own, but that apparently still isn’t it for Fortnite and Mortal Kombat’s big crossover. As pointed out by reliable Fortnite insider HYPEX over on Twitter, dataminer FNBRintel recently discovered that the Mortal Kombat collab will also add some new Mythics to the game as well.
According to FNBRintel, there are two Mythics planned for the first Mortal Kombat crossover in Chapter 6, Season 2. The most exciting is a weapon based on Scorpion’s Kunai and rope, which will reportedly come with the iconic “Get over here!” sound bite whenever it hits another player.
I am begging for Raiden to be added to Fortnite at some point in the future so that we can get amythic based on his gibberish-spouting thunder dash move.
Scorpion’s mythic sounds like it’s going to be the highlight of the Mortal Kombat crossover already, butSub-Zero is reportedly also getting one that’s based on his ice gauntlets. I would have guessed his mythic would let you freeze other players in place, but it sounds more likely that it’s an ice-based melee weapon like he’s used throughout the series in the past.
