Summary
Well, that didn’t take long.
Afterhaving its release date (April 25 for Early Access) revealed and preorders openedon Thursday,Forza Horizon 5, the latestXbox"exclusive" to make its way beyondMicrosoft’sconsole, has begun charting on thePlayStationStore. Specifically, across the U.S., Canada and UK, it is among the best-selling games, including at No. 1 and No. 2 in Canada alone.
All Gas, No Brakes
As it stands,in the United States, the Premium Edition of FH5 is the No. 3 bestseller among preorders, with the Standard Edition clocking in at No. 4.
Meanwhile,in Canada, Forza Horizon 5 occupies the top two spots in its region-specific store, with the Premium Edition at No. 1 and Standard at No. 2. What’s more, the Deluxe Edition is at No. 9, making all available editions within the store’s Top 10 list.

Finally,in the UK, the Premium Edition sits at No. 1 overall, the Standard at No. 3 and the Deluxe Edition at No. 8, almost replicating what is happening in Canada.
Why This May Be The Case
Of course, the sheer novelty of one of the “Big Three” Xbox exclusives making its way toPlayStation 5has no doubt impacted preorders in a positive way. One could only imagine what the preorder charts would look likeif the Master Chief Collection rumors became reality.
That said, the fact that Forza Horizon 5 won’t have a physical edition has likely played a role in things. According to the official Horizon Twitter account, “nothing” is planned for a physical release, meaning digital is the only way to obtain the game. Either way, these developments go to show just how popular an Xbox game jumping ship can be.
