Summary
Warriors: Abyssis asurprisingly engaging and rewarding roguelike that takes heavy inspiration from other massive titlesin the genre, giving you access to tons of heroes and build variety that can make each run feel unique in its own way. With endless waves of enemies, challenging boss encounters, and a satisfying gameplay loop, it’s understandable why some may want a similar experience after they complete it.
Fortunately, there are many titles that should scratch a similar itch. While the genre isn’t necessarily what we’d call deprived of titles, very few capture what Warriors: Abyss was going for, which can be tricky to find something similar if you’re looking for specific aspects of the game.

First up is the obvious choice withHades 2, a game that clearly inspired the development of Warriors: Abyss. Going from phase to phase, clearing waves of enemies, and choosing one of three rooms to enter to continue your journey is directly from this series. If you like the dungeon-crawling aspects of Warriors: Abyss, then Hades 2 is for you.
However, you will lose out on the wide range of characters, as Melinoë is the only playable character. But you will have access to a wide range of weapons and builds, which should make you feel right at home. If you loved your time in hell and somehow never played Hades 1 or 2, this is the perfect time to get into the action!

If clearing out seemingly endless hoards of enemies was the most satisfying thing in Warriors: Abyss to you, thenVampire Survivorsis a must-play, as that is essentially the entire point of the game. While the builds and gameplay are substantially different, you will be carving paths through hundreds of enemies, and it never gets old.
Despite its slow start, Vampire Survivors can get extremely fast-paced, having you make snap decisions while trying to focus on specific builds, all while trying to evade running into the encroaching thousands of enemies coming from every which way. If you want to mow down many enemies in rapid succession, go with this one!

Love the chaos and randomness of Warriors: Abyss but want to do it with a friend by your side? ThenThe Spell Brigadeis for you, as it delivers everything you want and then some, with one of the best co-op action roguelikes out there. Like Hades 2, it is still in early development, but its current state is still a blast to play with friends, and it’s only getting better.
Like Warriors: Abyss, The Spell Brigade is beginner-friendly and offers a solid roguelike experience without becoming overly frustrating with its systems and mechanics. If you have a friend who is also into the genre, give this a shot. It’s a solid title that will deliver what you’re looking for and will gradually get more and more content!

Are you looking for more of a challenge? Is the pure chaos in Warriors: Abyss what you crave the most? Well,Risk of Rain 2is your answer, as it pulls no punches but delivers something special. Everything from its stellar music to hectic combat to the agonizingly challenging boss encounters will have you locked to the edge of your seat until you roll credits.
Risk of Rain 2 is simply excellent and worth your time if you’re a fan of the genre and don’t mind some pushback. It also has co-op support, making it the perfect game to play alongside a friend. If a hird-person action roguelike sounds like something you’d enjoy, scoop this game up as soon as possible!

Curse of the Dead Gods is one of the first post-Hades action roguelikes heavily inspired by it, making for a very solid experience that may have gone under your radar. The combat is tight and rewarding, and clearing rooms filled with traps and various other obstacles always feels satisfying.
While the overall gameplay loop isn’t quite like what you’d get from a Hades or Warriors: Abyss, what’s here is a blast to play, especially if you’re looking to kill time. If the dungeon-crawling aspects clicked with you, then grab Curse of the Dead Gods and check it out!

Lastly, we haveDynasty Warriors: Origins, the recently released installment in the mainline series that Warriors: Abyss is part of. While it isn’t a roguelike such as all the other prior recommendations on this list, it is a Warriors game, and it will scratch some of that itch, especially if you like running through waves of enemies with a sword or spear and watching them fling across your screen.
Musous are more like large-scale beat ‘em ups than anything, which is a far cry from most roguelikes. Still, if you loved the massive selection of characters, the hectic combat, and the unique abilities that would allow you to cut through hundreds of enemies in the blink of an eye, then you will be more than happy with this title!
