That is until he decided to give up on fighting and live a peaceful life, studying bugs. It wasn’t long before a new threat arrived and threatened the lives of his loved ones, and he wasn’t going to watch it happen anymore.
Gohan (Super Hero) arrived as a part of theDragon Ball: Sparking ZeroDLC 1 pack, ready to unleash his hidden potential. This guide will go over his entire kit, including his combos, skills and special moves.
Bicycle Kick
Melee Button + Ki Button
Delivers a flurry of kicks in quick succession, dealing moderate damage.
Gut Punch
2x Melee Button + Ki Button
A quick attack that will stun the opponent for a short moment and prevent them from countering follow-up attacks.
4x Melee Button + Ki Button
R2/RT + Up on the D-Pad
R2/RT + Left on the D-Pad
Fires a beam with good tracking and deals moderate damage.
R2/RT + Ki Button
3 Ki Gauges
Rush directly at the opponent, dealing moderate damage and launching the opponent away.
Charges up a powerful beam attack that deals high damage.
Gohan (Super Hero) In Versus And Online Matches
In base form, Gohan (Super Hero) surprisingly is pretty standard in terms of his overall stats. His DP cost in Team Battles is an extremelylow cost of four, allowing more options for team building. Despite his low stats, his kit allows him to both sustain himself and deal somegreat damage, which onlyamplifies after his transformations.
Afterimageallows Gohan toautomatically avoid the first attackthe opponent throws at him for a lowcost of two Skill Points. This tool can be a game changer as it can leave the opponent wide open for a follow-up combo, special move or ultimate attack.
Afterimage, once activated, remains active for a few seconds until the opponent attempts an attack.
Full-Power Chargefully restores all Ki Gaugesupon activation. With the samelow cost of two Skill Points, it is an extremely effective tool to keep yourself on offense.While attacking your opponent with a melee combo,pop a Full-Power Chargebefore continuing your assault, then finish them off with aspecial movetodeal even more damage.
Masenkoconsumesthree Ki Gaugesto fire abeam that tracks the opponentanddeals moderate damage. This is your go-tocombo finisherand should almost always be done afterlaunching your opponent.
High-Speed Rush, as the name suggests,rushes directly at the opponentanddeals moderate damagebeforelaunching the opponent. Alsocosting three Ki Gauges, this move should only be performed when the opponent is eitherstaggeredorlaunched.
Keep in mind, however, that if the opponent istoo highortoo low, High-Speed Rushmight miss them entirely.
Super Kamehamehacharges a powerfulbeam attackthatdeals high damage. To land this move consistently, be sure to eitherlaunch your opponentusing asmash attackorstaggerthem with aSweep AttackorGut Punch.
2 Skill Points
Creates a shockwave around Gohan, knocking the opponent out of their offense.
Rush directly at the opponent, dealing moderate damage and slamming the opponent to the ground.
Charges up a powerful beam attack that deals major damage.
Gohan (Super Hero) Super Saiyan In Versus And Online Matches
Transforming into a Super Saiyangreatly increases his statsandoverall damage. In terms ofhis kit, however, it more or lessremains the same as his base form.
Explosive Wave replaces Afterimageas his first skill but keeps thesame cost requirementsas the prior. Rather than having the skill be activated passively, Explosive Wave creates ashockwave around Gohanandinterrupts the opponent’s melee combo.
He retains the sameBlastandRush Special Moveformula as his base form, though they are slightly altered.Explosive Rayworks the exact same asMasenkoand can be easily confirmed by ending a combo withalaunchorstaggering attack.
Explosive Kicksimilar toHigh-Speed Rush,rushes directly at the opponentanddeals moderate damage. However, rather than launching the opponent away, the move ends with Gohanslamming the opponent to the ground. The benefit of this is theability to chaineither hisExplosive WaveorSuper Kamehameha Ultimatewhilst the opponent is hitting the ground.
Gohan (Super Hero) Super Saiyan’s Ultimate remains the same as his base form but with increased damage.
Spin Kick
3x Melee Button + Ki Button
Forces the enemy to spin around, making it much more difficult to defend against further melee attacks.
Automatically dodge the first melee attack thrown by the opponent, then immediately counter-attacks.
R2/RT + Melee Button
Vanishes right behind the opponent, firing a beam that deals moderate damage.
Rush directly at the opponent, dealing high damage and slamming the opponent to the ground.
R2/RT + Perception Button
Sparking Mode
Rush directly at the opponent and launch them away, then firing a powerful beam dealing major damage.
Ultimate Gohan (Super Hero) In Versus And Online Matches
In his Ultimate Form, Gohan’sstats further increase, as well as hisoverall damage. Additionally, not only do hiscosts remain the same, his kit receives more noticeable changes than his previous forms. Hegains a new combo movein the form ofSpin Kick,as well asnew skills, a unique Special Move and Ultimate.
Explosive Wave is replaced by Wild Sense, which, upon activation,automatically dodges the next melee attackthrown by the opponent, followed up quickly with acounter-attack.This skill acts as a safety net whilst you are melee attacking your opponent should they attempt to counter. Be sure topreemptively activatethe abilitybefore engaging your opponentto make the best use of it.
The Power To Rise Again replaces Full-Power Charge. Upon activation,boosts all damage outputfor a short duration. To get the most out of this skill,activate it before engagingthe opponent orafter staggering themto keep up with your assault withincreased damage.
The Power To Rise Again will also apply abuff to Special and Ultimate Moves.
Explosive Bulletis a unique Blast attacksimilar to Goku’s Instant Transmission Kamehameha. Upon activation, Gohan will vanish andappear right behindthe opponentbefore firing abeam attack,dealing moderate damage. Landing this move is as easy as pressing the button aftera launchora stagger.
Explosive Bullet can also be used to counter an opponent’s ranged attacks, closing the distance safely and netting some easy damage.
Super Explosive Rushworks similarly to Explosive Kick andsends the opponent crashing towards the ground,dealing moderate damage. Just like the previously mentioned Rush moves, be sure to have the opponentstaggeredorlaunchedbefore attempting the move.
Explosive Onslaught rushes directly at the opponent, then fires a powerfulbeam attackthatdeals major damage. Whilst in Sparking Mode,hit your opponent with Super Explosive Rush, then immediatelyuse Explosive Onslaughtto net someinsane damage.
4 Skill Points
Instantly enters Sparking Mode after a short animation, buffing all damage output and providing a defense buff.
4 Ki Gauges
Instantly vanishes right in front of the opponent, dealing moderate damage and launching them away.
Rush directly at the opponent, launching them away before charging a powerful beam attack and dealing major damage.
Gohan Beast In Versus And Online Matches
In his final transformation, Gohan receives amassive increase in his stats and damage. When transforming into his Beast Form, Gohan willgain a full health baras well asfully restore his Ki Gauges. His kit also receives some powerful changes.
WhileBeast Sensemay sound different, it is just a renamed version ofWild Senseand works the exact same way. Acting as a safety net whilst you are on the offense should the opponent counter you.
Guess It’s My Turnis where things get interesting. After consumingfour Skill Points,Gohanimmediately enters Sparking Mode, providing himself withbuffs to all damage outputas well as adefense buff. A short animation will play when activating the ability, so be sure to have the opponent in alaunchor place yourselfas far as possiblefrom them.
Super Explosive Ray replaces Explosive Bulletand returns it to a simplebeam attackthatdeals moderate damage. As always, to land this move, simplylaunch the opponentafter a combo orstaggerthem before initiating the move.
Explosive Flash instantly vanishes rightin front of the opponent,dealing moderate damageandlaunching themaway. With an increasedcost of four Ki Gauges, the best use for this move is either at the end of acombo launchor asa gap-closerfor opponents who’re playing at range.
Special Beam Cannon,despite what the name suggests, is aRush Ultimate.To get the most value from the Ultimate, pair it up withGuess It’s My Turnand get your opponent into alaunchorstagger. Additionally, if you are quick enough,Explosive Flashcan also bechained into Special Beam Cannonfurtherincreasing the damage.
Both Explosive Flash and Special Beam Cannon can be performed against Giant characters such as Cell Max.
