Summary

While fans eagerly await news onGrand Theft Auto 6, which wasrecently re-affirmed for release in Fall 2025, its developer,Rockstar Games, has indeed released a new piece of GTA-related content. No,it’s not a new trailer. And no,it’s not any single-player DLC for Grand Theft Auto 5.

Rather, it’s aDiscordserver dedicated to all thingsGrand Theft Auto. As one could imagine, things are pretty chaotic and only stand to get more lawless as more and more people discover the server.

It Is Truly The Wild West Out There

Tucked away in a Rockstar Newswire postsurrounding Valentine’s Day content for GTA Online is a headline dedicatedto an official Rockstar Discord.

“Join to keep up with the latest in Rockstar Games news, and use the LFG forums to fill out the ranks of your Association on the platform of your choice,” the headline read.

Already, over 177,000 members have joined, with nearly 40,000 flocking to the GTA 6 specific channel. As it stands, “Slowmode” has been enabled on the channel, with members needing to wait 10 minutes between posts, and new members needing to wait the same amount of time before ever commenting.

Still, that hasn’t stopped players from making it known that they’d like to see Trailer No. 2 or a release date. Of course, there are also multitudes of trolls sharing that a trailer is out, plus others finding ways to tag the Rockstar Games admin account or pose as an official employee.

Of course, the purpose of the Discord extends far beyond GTA 6, with channels dedicated to Red Dead Redemption, plus forums for players to discuss GTA Online or old school Rockstar titles. That said, even in those spaces, discussion is largely centered around the highly-anticipated GTA 6. Given the high expectations surrounding the game, that doesn’t seem to be changing anytime soon. If anything, the Discord will be even more chaotic between now and the game’s inevitable release.
