Grand Theft Autofans have been pretty desperate for any form of news aboutGTA 6for a little while now, begging for a trailer so bad that they’ve been coming up with theories so wild that they make the Hollow Knight: Silksong fanbase look well-adjusted. They’ve beenlooking at the moon,old arrest warrants, and pretty much anything that has even the smallest chance it could be connected to GTA 6.
Withno news about the game in 2024, fans had started to fear the worst andthat the game had been pushed back, much like every other game Rockstar has made over the last decade. All we had before today wasa release window of Fall 2025 to look forward to, much to the annoyance of every big publisher out there, but a new earnings call from Take-Two has finally given us a bit more info.
GTA 6 Is Still Launching This Fall
While it’s nothing new, GTA fans can breathe a sigh of relief, as publisher Take-Two has announced that GTA 6 is still on course to meet its expected Fall release window.Take-Two revealed this news in its latest earnings reportfor its third quarter, which will be great news for fans with delay rumors spiralling.
On top of that, Take-Two mentions that Mafia: The Old Country, Civilization 7, and Borderlands 4 are all still scheduled to launch this year, while the BioShock spiritual successor Judas is still TBA, so we’re not getting a release date for that one soon.
So there we have it, GTA 6 is still a 2025 release. Unfortunately, Take-Two didn’t give us any clues about GTA 6’s price, which has been a point of broad speculation over the past few months. Analysts have predicted that Rockstar could get away with charging up to $100 for the title, and thatother gaming publishers have their fingers crossed that it does, so they can follow suit. GTA 6 is possibly the only game that could get away with, though I doubt many will be willing to shell out $100 on Ubisoft’s latest game.
