The bundle’s arrival will mean there are eight Harvest Moon games available on Nintendo Switch - six you’re able to buy and two viaNintendo Switch Online- making it quite the system for fans of the series who want to play through almost its entire history.
Harvest Moon studio Natsume noted (thanks,Nintendo Life) that it wanted to bring fan-favorite installments from the series onto the latestNintendoconsole, giving people the chance to revisit towns and characters they might not have seen for over a decade. The Lost Valley is now 11 years old, and follow-up Skytree Village came two years later, just in case you needed something to make you feel old.

The bundle will also includeall of the DLC for both gamesand as noted above, the games will be optimized for the Switch. Exactly what that means hasn’t been clarified. Don’t go expecting a remaster, but making a point that the games included in the bundle have been tweaked in some way ready for their arrival on Switch implies that there may be some improvements.
While there’s no news on when we might get a brand new Harvest Moon game, bringing older games to the Switch continues Nintendo’s efforts to make as much of its back catalog available on its current console so that all these games can come to Switch 2.Backwards compatibility for the Switch 2 has now been confirmedwhich means even though the Cozy Bundle isn’t a Switch 2 game, it will be playable on Switch 2.
Even though Harvest Moon andStardew Valleyare available on other platforms, the Switch has become a cozy farming machine for a lot of people. Partly down to those series, but mostly because ofAnimal Crossing: New Horizons. The latest Animal Crossing game has been a system seller for Nintendo. So much so that you have to think a sequel for the Switch 2 is close to being ready if it’s not done already.
