Much of your time inMonster Hunter Wildswill be spent hunting down the same monsters over and over again, hoping that this is the time your quarry drops the component you need to finish an armor set. This was even more difficult in previous series entries, where you didn’t have access to a list of the exact materials monsters could drop.

Wilds makes your grind for gear significantly easier with the forge’s wishlist. What once required navigating multiple menus and frequent visits to the blacksmith has been significantly streamlined, letting you focus on the fun part of Monster Hunter: the hunting. Here’s how to best use your wishlist and keep yourself in the action.

Your Wishlist, Explained

The wishlist in Monster Hunter Wilds allows you totag multiple armor pieces you would like to forgewhile speaking to Gemma. Doing so will cause the game totrack whenever you receive the parts required to make the item.

Each time you acquire one of the necessary crafting ingredients, whether it be froma destroyed wound, dropped pickup, or quest reward, you willreceive a pop-up notificationon the right side of the screenletting you know you have earned some of the required materials. If it’s the last part you need, the game will tell you thatthe item on your wishlist is now available to craft.

You can use the wishlist not just for armor, but forweapons and Palico equipment as well.

How To Add Items To Your Wishlist

Adding items to your wishlist is very simple. After talking with Gemma to open up the smithing menu, navigate to the items you would like to prioritize. Once they’re highlighted, hit Triangle/Yto open up the sub-menu. From here, you canadd the item to your wishlist, and its equipment icon will bemarked with a pin.

Now all you need to do is venture out and gather the correct materials! After you’ve got all the parts you need, you can access the “Forge/Upgrade from Wishlist” menuat the blacksmith, letting you easily craft the armor you’ve worked so hard for.
