After obtaining the snorkel inHello Kitty Island Adventure, you’ll be able to dive under the water and explore a whole new world. While this can be exciting, you’ll initially be constrained by the limitations of stamina. Thankfully, you’ll eventually unlock the Mermaid Outfit that makes swimming a bit easier.
Swapping into your Mermaid Outfit can be tedious though, especially if you have a nice outfit on already. Through the quest Mermaidified Fashion, you’ll be able to unlock the ability to instantly transform into a mermaid in the water. Here, you can learn how to fully complete this Hello Kitty Island Adventure quest.
Requirements To Start Mermaidified Fashion
Thankfully, there are not many requirements to start this quest. Firstly, you’ll need tocomplete the quest Comic Relief.This is the initial quest thatearns you the Mermaid Outfit,tasking you withfinding all three pieces around the Rainbow Reef.
In addition to this,you’ll also need to befriendship level 12 with Tuxedosam.Once both requirements have been completed,you can start the quest by talking with Tuxedosam.
How To Complete Mermaidified Fashion
After speaking with Tuxedosam,you’ll be tasked with talking to Chococat.He’ll be in his usual spot at his tent, so head here and talk with him. After a short conversation, Chococat will state that the Mermaidifier needs to be upgraded,buthe needs a lot of fish.
In total, you will needtwo Citrusfin, Bog Clamfish, Opal Flutterfin, and Banded Spelunker.Below, you can check out the specific location where each fish can be found.

We found this fish in thecavern filled with pink crystals,but it may be found elsewhere in the caverns.
Remember,you will need two of each type!Fish come in different sizes, so we made sure to catch two of each fish that were the same size.
How To Upgrade The Mermaidifier
After getting the fish, gift them to Chococat. From here, you’ll need to thenmeet him at the Mermaidifier.This is relatively close by; if you don’t remember how to get there,head out the gate and proceed north.
Tuxedosam and Chococat will also head there, soyou can follow them if you aren’t sure where to go.
There is just one final step! Upon speaking with the two once more,you’ll need to place an underwater outfit into the Mermaidifier.If you have different mermaid pieces, you’ll be able to place them here. We chose our Fall-themed Mermaid Outfit to put in the Mermaidifier.
Once this is done,talk to Chococat again to finish the quest.The main reward for this quest is the ability toautomatically transform underwater.To test it out, simplyjump in and watch your legs form into a tail!Your current clothes won’t be visible, but when you leave the water,the Mermadifier outfit will disappear and you’ll return to normal.
