The Navel (Hard) is a level 50 Trial inFinal Fantasy 14. After defeating the Ultimate Weapon and saving Eorzea, you are once again brought to Outer La Noscea, where the Kobolds have summoned their Primal, Titan.
To prevent Titan from destroying the land (again), you’ll need to enter the Navel and stop him. This is an eight-player Trial, with two Tanks, two Healers, and four DPS. Below, we’ll take a look at everything you need to know about the Navel (Hard), including how to unlock it and how to beat Titan.

How To Unlock The Navel (Hard)
There are a few quests you will need to complete before you unlock the Navel (Hard), the first of which is the final 2.0 Main Scenario Quest’The Ultimate Weapon'. After that, you may accept the quest’A Recurring Problem’fromMinfilia in The Waking Sands (X:6.9, Y:6.1).
This quest will begin aseries of questsin which you unlock and fight theHard versions of each of the three Primals, starting withIfrit, thenGaruda, and finallyTitan.

The ques that unlocks the Navel (Hard) and Titan is’In a Titan Spot', which can be accepted fromY’shtola in The Waking Sands (X:6.1, Y:5.1). This Duty has anitem level requirement of 57.
Titan’s Attacks And Mechanics
Here are each of the attacks and mechanics Titan will use throughout this fight. More attacks are added as the fight progresses, but the order Titan uses them remains the same, so you can plan ahead.
Keep in mind thatyou can fall off the edge of the arena, and several of Titan’s attacks will knock you back or remove parts of the arena.

Landslide
Line AoE/Knockback
Deals damage in a line andknocks backhit players. Move outside of the AoE indicator to avoid this attack.
Tumult
Roomwide AoE
Titan will stomp several times in a row, dealing damage to all players. Recover withAoE healing.
Geocrush
AoE/Special
Titan will leap away before crashing back down onto the arena, dealing damage to all players andremoving the outer edge of the arena, indicated by the red AoE. This attackdeals more damage the closer to the center of the arena you are, somove close to the red AoEbut not inside it to lessen the damage of this attack.

Circle AoEs
Createsseveral circle AoEsaround the arena. Move out of the AoE indicators to avoid.
Bomb Boulders
AoE/Summon
Titan will spawn severalBomb Bouldersin asequencethat will explode after a few seconds. Watch the order the bombs fall in;stand near the bombs that fall lastto avoid the first explosions, then move into the newly created safe areas to avoid the rest of the bombs.
Granite Goal
Special
Traps one player in a Granite Goal,preventing them from taking action. The Gaol will begin castingGranite Sepulchre, which will dealmassive damage to the trapped player. To avoid this, the rest of the party needs toattack the Granite Gaol to free the trapped player.
Earthen Fury
Titan will dealunavoidable damage to all players after his Heart is destroyed. Recover with AoE healing.
Mountain Buster
Untelegraphed AoE
Titan will attack in aconal AoE to his front, dealing high damage. The Tank shouldface Titan away from the rest of the partyto avoid hitting them with this attack.
Fight Walkthrough
This fight will proceed through several phases determined by Titan’s health threshold.Each time Titan uses Geocrush marks the beginning of a new phase, at which point Titan will change his attack rotation as well asadd new attacks. Keep in mind thateach Geocrush will make the arena just a bit smaller, andfalling off the edge will result in insta-death.
Titan will repeat the attacks in each phase until you deal enough damage to move to the next phase.

Phase 3
Phase 4
This phase begins with Titan revealingTitan’s Heart. Focus on attacking his Heart to end this phase, at which point Titan will use Earthen Fury. If you fail to destroy Titan’s Heart before he casts Earthn Fury,the entire party will take lethal damage.
