How To Defeat Zellfel Zam Schultiger

The battle against Zellfel Zam Schultiger takes place in anentirely sidescrolling arena, making many of the boss' moves rather difficult to dodge. This is whythe Ignis Bracelet is your best friend in this fight, You’ll want to keep as much distance as you’re able to from the boss as they can close the distance quite quickly.

The boss themself has no gimmicks, nor do they gain any new moves or change phase as their HP reduces. They are exactly what they look like, they’re just deceptively difficult. Let’s get a quick breakdown of their moves:

And that’s about everything they can do. The trickest attack to avoid is their jumping attack as it’s easy to mistake it for the slam. That’s a big reason to keep your distance from them. Or justuse the Terra Bracelet to negate the attackif you aren’t sure which they’re going to perform.

If the boss finds themself in a corner, activate Double Boost and lay into them with the extended combo. They are liable to get stunlocked during the attack, trapping them until your Boost ends. Beyond this, fire to melt them with fireballs whenever you’re able to, only running in with physical attacks when you’re out of MP.

After they’re defeated, they will dropthe Holy Cross key item, potentially the last item you need to proceed into the dungeons of Valestein Castle.
