The very final boss of Valestein Castle lies in the dungeons deep below, opened only after defeating the two previous bosses and thorough exploration. Here at the end lies the most difficult of this area’s bosses - Zirduros.
While none of Valestein Castle was a cakewalk, Zirduros is a distinctive leap in difficulty. The final stop before the penultimate dungeon ofYs Memoire: The Oath In Felghana, let’s put an end to this living weapon.
Preparing For Zirduros
Like the two previous bosses you faced in Valestein Castle, much of the same advice applies to Zirduros.They combine some of the harder aspects of Death Faleon and Zellfel Zam Schultiger, so let’s dive into what you’ll need to defeat them:
The battle with Zirduros is them down faster than they can defeat you. Be aggressive, but make sure you actually have the damage to take them down, too.
How To Defeat Zirduros
Zirduros is easilythe most difficult of the trio of Valestein Castle’s bosses, though they still have a rough pattern you can follow. What makes them so difficult though is that they bombard you with arena-spanning attacks constantly, while also only being able to be damaged from a very specific point on their back,their more fleshy tail.
Let’s take a quick look atZirduros' movesetbefore we go any further:
There are quite a few moves here, andmany of them have after-effectsthat make Zirduros hard to approach. This is why you want to rely on Double Boost, so you canjust get in close and tank the damage. They don’t actually have the most resistance, so you’re able to take them down pretty quickly if you can stay consistently behind them.
Using thedescending slash is a great way of dealing damagewhile also avoiding the mines.
The Terra Bracelet is easily the most helpful here as it hasquite a wide window of invulnerabilitywhile also letting you move closer to the boss. Combine this with Double Boost when you’re behind the boss and you won’t even have to worry about using the Ventus Bracelet to get more hits in.
After Zirduros is defeated, a bridge will appear at the top of the room,revealing Elena and the missing grandson of Aida, Bob. Have a quick chat with them all and you’ll be given theClock Tower Key. You can now head into the penultimate dungeon of the game. Good luck.
