InHello Kitty Island Adventure, you can expect to see some Sanrio favorites, including Kuromi, who lives in the Spooky Swamp. With a birthday of October 31, you can expect Kuromi to bring the real scary (but cute) factor to the game.
If you’ve ever dreamed of befriending Kuromi, then you’re in luck. In this guide, we are going to take a look at how to meet and befriend Kuromi in Hello Kitty Island Adventure. This will include where to find her, as well as every reward related to each level of friendship. Kuromi isn’t initially found on Seaside Resort; instead, you’ll need to play a bit to unlock access to the swamp.
Where To Find Kuromi
As mentioned earlier, Kuromi isfound in the Spooky Swamp.To get to this area, you’ll first need to complete the questPower Up the Gate.This is a main quest in the game that essentiallyopens the gate near Chococat, letting you proceed into other areas of the map.
Within the Spooky Swamp, Kuromi is typicallyfound in the central area,near the mailbox.Depending on the quests you’ve done with her, this can vary. For example, we have potion-making unlocked, soKuromi is in the Witch’s Hut.
At the start of the game, this won’t be the case for you. Fortunately, you canjust reference the map and look for her icon.
Gifts To Give Kuromi
Kuromi isvery easy to give gifts to,as some of her favorite things are found in the area around where she is typically found. In general, Kuromi likes gifts with the tags ofSoda, Fall, and Spooky.Any gift with one of these tags will be one-heart,but there are also two and three-heart gifts that you can give.

Jack-O-Lantern

In return for giving Kuromi a gift, she will give youLight Stones.These are primarilyused to craft Sparks.
The easiest gift to give Kuromi is aJack-O-Lantern, which are crafted with pumpkins.These are foundaround the central mailbox in the Spooky Swamp, making them very easy to obtain.The Jack-O-Lanterns themselves are a two-heart gift, earning you a bit more friendship than a typical one-heart gift.
Friendship Rewards
In total, you can progress through20 levels of friendship with Kuromi.There are several key quests that you’ll obtain through leveling up her friendship, so this is a great character to focus on while still early into the game.

Description
Delivery Service
This quest tasks you with delivering items for Kuromi to unlock the mailbox fast-travel system.
Re-Haunt the Spooky Swamp
You need to complete Power Up the Gate before doing this quest.
This quest tasks you with finding Green Power Crystals and ultimately restoring both the Ghost Tour Ride and the Haunted Mansion.
Deep Diving
You need to complete Re-Haunt the Spooky Swamp and Finding Flippers before doing this quest.
This quest tasks you with making a snorkel, which is required to descend the Rainbow Reef and meet Hangyodon.
Potion Hunt: The Opening
You need to complete Deep Diving before doing this quest.
This quest tasks you with opening the Witch’s Hut, which is necessaryin order to unlock potion-making.
There are multiple steps in this questline; between each one, you’ll need to wait a day.
Daily Quests
Daily quests occur… daily. You won’t see every single one at the same time, but each day,you may see one become available.Overall, these are pretty simple, so be sure to complete any daily quests for Kuromi (or other characters).
