Exploring the Aladiss continent is not an easy task, and if the monsters aren’t big enough of a threat, you’ll also find many natural obstacles along the way inAtelier Yumia: The Alchemist Of Memories & The Envisioned Land.

And while you’re traveling, it won’t take long to find some Sturdy Walls in your path. They come in many sizes, shapes, and colors, and are scattered across the regions, blocking your path to some of the most special treasures out there. Luckily, Yumia always comes prepared for such obstacles and has a very practical method for getting rid of them.

How To Destroy Sturdy Walls

While Sturdy Walls are invulnerable to regular attacks and bullet shots, using Burst Ammo will instantly explode those walls. This is a Special Ammo you’re able to unlock, obtained byreaching 100 percent Pioneering Progress in Ligneus.

This will take you a while, butit can be done from the moment you unlock Pioneering Progress if you’re dedicated enough. When you finally reach 100 percent progress, head back to the Ligneus Survey Base and speak with Erhard to collect your rewards, including the Burst Ammo Recipe.

You can make the recipe anywhereusing Yumia’s Simple Synthesis, just like with regular bullets. Different ammo types take separate bag slots, so make sure you have some space available.

Making Burst Ammo requiresone percent Energy, five Iron and three Salpeter per craft. You can now select Burst Ammo as your bullets and shoot down those walls, unlocking new areas and treasures to be discovered.

Certain Skill Tree upgrades increase how many bullets you get from a single craft. It starts at three, butincreases the more upgrades you unlock.

Aside from Sturdy Walls,Burst Ammo can also be used on similar structures to help solve puzzles or unlock new areas. They can be used on hostile monsters, and deal extra damage compared to regular Ammo.

Sturdy Walls often guard hidden treasures, Caves, or even Treasure Troves, sounlocking the Ammo has plenty of great rewards down the line.

How To Increase Pioneering Progress

Pioneering Progress isunlocked after completing the main story quest ‘Managing the Manabound Area 2.‘The following quest (Pioneering the Ligneus Region) introduces you to the system, asking you to reach at least ten percent progress.

Progress is obtained by completing special Pioneering quests, which can be checked in the Pause menu in thePioneering Effort option, or by speaking directly with Erhard at the Survey Base.

These quests involvesynthetizing certain items, defeating monsters, using specific moves in battle, or reaching exploration milestones(such as activating enough Shrines of Prayers or finding Treasure Troves).

Reaching the maximum Pioneering level doesn’t require exploring the whole region, butthe complete Pioneering Effort list must be done to reach 100 percentand get the special Ammo.

Remember tovisit Erhard regularlyat the Survey Base. He’ll give you new rewards for your efforts every 10% progress you complete, andwill also unlock new Pioneering quests.

Reaching 100 percent progress isn’t mandatory for the main story, but aside from the Burst Ammo, other regions have very interesting rewards for complete exploration, sotaking some time to explore them is always worth the effort.
