Orca is a very rare and difficult species of fish to catch inFisch, and not everyone will be able to catch at least one of them. For catching Orca, like catching Kraken, there is a separate time-limited event, which happens quite often on the server.
Nevertheless, the Orca Migration is significantly different from other similar events because this fish is constantly moving around the map, and you need to change the fishing point every time. In addition, some other difficulties and nuances need to be taken into account, such as the selection of rod, bait, and other things that we will help you with.

How To Prepare For Orca Migration
Orca Migration is an event thatoccurs on the server for about 15 minutes every hour, and it is your only chance to catch an Orca. When the event starts, you will know that by the notification in the chat “Orca Migration has begun!”.
When this happens, a group of five Orcas will start migrating from the northern to the southern edge of the map. Thus, their initial coordinates will be 825, 125, -3250, and thefinal ones will be 825, 125, 5100. This will continue for the duration of the event, or it may end early if all Orcas are caught.
You can also see a blue stripe on the water, which indicates the direction of the herd’s migration. To catch an Orca, you will need to take a boat to the location where the herd is currently swimming and just start fishing. In addition, you can take a position on the path where Orcas will swim in advance, preferablynear Moosewood or Terrapin Islandto prepare for their arrival. Many players also wait for the herd at the final point of migration, but this is not recommended, as they may all be caught beforehand, or you simply won’t have enough time to get it out of the water.
But just taking a good place is not enough to catch an Orca because it is a legendary fish that does not let you catch it that easily. To create the perfect conditions and increase your chances of catching it, you need tochoose the best bait, rod, and preferably the time of day, weather, and season.
Here’s a list of thebest equipment and conditions you should follow during the Orca Migrationto increase your chances:
Recommended equipment and conditions
Fishing Rod
Abyssal Specter Rod, Tempest Rod, Seraphic Rod, Rod Of The Eternal King, Poseidon Rod, Trident Rod
Season
Autumn, Winter
Also, it is worth noting that there is afive percent chancethat the Orca Migrations event will spawn as the Albine Orca Hunt. The conditions and mechanics of the event are the same, but here, instead of the usual ones, you can catch Ancient Orca, which are not only rarer but also more expensive. Still, even under ideal conditions, the chance of catching an Ancient Orca is slim, so you will have to cast your rod quite a few times.
