Without actual exhibits, a museum isn’t much of a museum, and in the properly titledTwo Point Museum, that’s exactly what you’ll be running. Whether you’re starting in Campaign mode or playing around in Sandbox, your job will be running all sorts of different museums, and filling them up with exhibits.
You’ll have plenty to find, from dinosaur bones and fossils to anomalies from space, and you’re able to just drop them and forget. Like in the real world, your Exhibits need to be kept at certain temperatures so they can thrive properly, and don’t end up decaying or dying, especially living ones.

How To Take Care Of Exhibits
As time progresses, your Exhibits willgradually lose one of four specific stats: Grubbiness, Icyness, Health, and Maintenance.
Each of them ismarked by a meterthat ranges from zero to 100, and as thatmeter goes downtoward zero, a differentnegative effect will begin to show upon that Exhibit, depending on the type of stat they use.

Science
Marine
Exhibits begin to lose buzz and will eventually lack buzz altogether.
Exhibits begin to melt and will eventually be ruined.

Exhibits begin to get sick and will eventually die.
Space
Exhibits begin to have malfunctions and can cause fires.
Theeffects won’t be too severe at 80 to 70 percent, but if itgets any lowerthan that, thechances of something bad happeningto either the Exhibit, your museum, or both aredrastically increased. To prevent this, you needExperts for each Exhibit type.

Make sure to match the Expert type to the Exhibit category, asExperts can only restore or deal with the needs of Exhibits that match their specialization.
Experts willperiodically go around and restore the Exhibit’s metersand keep them healthy, but if you have aton of Exhibitsand only a few Experts, you may need tomanually check in and request they be restored.

This is done byselecting an Exhibit manuallyor using theExhibit List option from the menu panelon the bottom to see a list of everything you have and its status, then selecting theCall Expert With X Specialization buttonalong thebottom of the windowthat pops up.
One of your Experts willcome and clean it as soon as possible, and you’ll want tokeep an eye on your Exhibitseven with the automatic cleaning.

If you find that your Exhibit’smeters are dropping too fast, and they need to berestored constantly, you’ll likely need tochange the Exhibit’s Climateto better suit them.
What Is An Exhibit Climate?
Each type of Exhibit has aparticular Climate they preferto thrive in your museum, such as Botany Exhibits overwhelmingly preferring Hot Climates for example, and tochange a room, you’ll need tochange theTemperaturein the area.
The main wayTemperatureis measuredis by using theTemperature Visualizationfrom the Visualization menuon theright end of the panel at the bottomof the screen, and it’lldisplay it in different colors.

Any museum areastarts in a Neutral Climate, with the Temperature being fairly mild, and to change it, you’ll need toinstall different machinesthat affect the Climatearound them in specific ways.
Once a room has its Climate changed, and you decide to take away its Climate, it willrevert to a slightly Dry Climate instead of a Neutral one once the machines are removed.

Coldwater Cooler
Coldwater Fish
When placed down, the machines willchange the temperaturein a hugeradius around them, with thebiggest change being in a three-by-three-tile area around themand becomingless effective towards their maximum rangeof a fifteen-by-fifteen-tile area.
AllClimate Machines' radiuses are affected by the shape of the room they’re inand can have their effects blocked by walls, or extend through open doorways near them.
Depending on thelocation and the number of Exhibitsin a room, youmay need to have multiple machinesin an area tofully apply the temperaturethroughout and cover everything within.
How To Keep Dry Climate Exhibits
Thefirst type of exhibityou’ll always come across isDry Climate Exhibits. These include pretty muchanything under the Prehistory category— Fossils, Dinosaur Bones, Prehistory Mysteries — andsome of the land-based Marine Exhibitsas well.
Thesehave a Grubbiness Meterto take care of, and the area surrounding them within athree-by-three-tile radius needs to be completely dry, or greater if the fossil is large, and theycan’t be near anysort of other climate-changing machineslike Freezers.
Theone exceptionto this rule isthe Dehumidifier, a machine made foranything that needs a Dry Climate. It’s unlocked via Kudosh, and while youcan make do withoutonesince they do fine in a neutral climate, this machine willhelp out the Dry Climate Exhibitsa lot.
Janitors are needed to restore and maintain any sort of machinery, including Climate-Changing machines like Dehumidifiers.
With a Dehumidifier in their range, you’llturn the climate from Neutral to Dry, and the rate at which theirGrubbiness decays will be reduced by around 10 percentslower than if they didn’t have one.
This will alsocut down on how oftenyour Prehistoric Expertsneed to restore them, giving them more time for other things.
How To Keep Cold Climate Exhibits
Thesecond type of Climateyou come across is usually theCold Climate, and themajority of the exhibitsthat want this climate are in theFrozen Finds category, like Frozen Beehives and Frozen Freezers.
These types of exhibitshave an Icyness Meterinstead of a Grubbinesss Meter, and thesame four-by-four-tile areaaround themneeds to have a Cold Temperature. This means you’ll need toput at least one of the Freezer variants nearthem, with theearliest availablebeing theregular Freezer.
If youdon’t have a Freezeraround, the Exhibits willdecay extremely quickly, even if left in a Neutral Climate, and could end upmelting and needing to be replaced at worst.
If you do let certain Frozen Finds melt, notably the Frozen Cave Person and Frozen Freezer, aneaster egg can occur which nets you an achievement.
Unlike the other types of Exhibits, as long as youkeep the nearby Freezers maintained above 50 percent, theIcyness Meterof a Frozen Find willnever begin to decrease.
How To Keep Hot And Humid Climate Exhibits
While technically separate types, most Exhibits that need a Hot Climate, like any of the Botany ones, almost always need a Humid Climateas well if they’re going to stay healthy.
Occasionally, an Exhibit will only need one or the other, butmost of them need both, so you’ll need to havemultiple climate-changing machinesnearby, but fortunately,Heaters and Misters work in tandem.
Both of them cancoexist in a single room or areaat the same time without issue, and have thesame radius as other types.
Like other machines, you’llneed a Janitor to keep them workingproperly, but anExpert will need to periodically water or restore Exhibitsthat need this climate, like the Man-Eating Plants in the Botany category.
How To Keep Aquatic Exhibits
Some Marine Exhibits will need a regular Climate, like with the X needing a Dry Climate, but most of themwill be different types ofFish that need to be in Aquariums, and these have theirown particular climate needs.
AnyAquarium starts off with a Temperate Climate, which is equivalent to a Neutral Climate, and thisaccommodates Temperate Fish.
For other Fish, like the Lionhead, theymay need Tropical or Coldwater Climatesto survive, and so you’ll need touseAquarium-specific climate-changing machines.
To change it, all you need to do isplace either a Water Heater or a Coldwater Coolerinto the Aquarium that needs to be adjusted, and you’llchange it to the appropriate climate.
Water Heaters and Coldwater Coolers have thesame radius as other climate-changing machines, but you usually only need one per Aquariumunless you make it massively sized.
Instead of Janitors, you’llneed a Marine Expert to handle the maintenanceof these machines, as they’re theonly ones who can go insidethe Aquariums.
