Pokemon Gois coming out with a new research day event this season, a type of event centered around collecting and completing different Field Research Tasks. This month, Pokemon Go will be hosting theFuzzy Buddy Research Day, a research day event that will feature four different Pokemon instead of the standard one.

The Fuzzy Buddy Research Day will be taking place onSaturday, Jun 14, 2025, from 2pm local time to 5pm local time. There will be several components that make up this research day; read our complete guide below to make sure you take advantage of all the benefits and features.

There will befour different Pokemon featuredduring this research day, all of which are smaller, bear Pokemon. This includesTeddiursa, Cubchoo, Pancham, and Stufful.

Being featured Pokemon for this event, you will have the opportunity to encounter and catch each of them multiple times bycompleting limited-time Field Research Tasksthroughout the research day. These Field Research Tasks can be obtained byvisiting and spinning different PokeStop Photo Discs.

Most notably, being featured Pokemon, you will haveincreased chances of encountering the Shiny variations of Teddiursa, Cubchoo, Pancham, and Stuffulthroughout the Fuzzy Buddy Research Day.

You will have the option ofpurchasing additional Timed Researchfor this event, unlocking event-themed tasks and rewards for those that purchase it. This Timed Research can be purchased at the Pokemon Go in-game shop, costing$2.00 USD.

Completing the tasks for this Timed Research will reward you withencounters with the featured Pokemon for this event, allowing you tochoose which specific Pokemon you want to encounter and catch.
