Quick Links
If you’ve roamed Izumi Settsu, Yamashiro, or other regions in theAssassin’s Creed Shadowsmap, you’ve likely come across castles and forts. Iga is also home to a few castles or forts, like the Hijiyama Fort, where you can infiltrate the walls, defeat Samurai Daisho, and loot rewards.
You’re free to enter the fort using whichever style you prefer – Noae’s silent-but-deadly approach, or Yasuke’s loud and dangerous methods. It can be much quicker to use Yasuke’s overwhelming strength to fight your way through, but we’ll take a look at some equally fast, but quiet methods to kill your targets in the Hijiyama Fort in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Where Is The Hijiyama Fort?
Head to theHijiyamasection ofIga,where you’ll find theHijiyama Fort.
Theclosest fast travel point is the Aekuni Kakuregain the Ichinomiya section of Iga. There’s also a fast travel point near the end of the Fort.
Approach the fort from the eastand up the path, then immediatelyscale the wall to the leftof the front doors to assassinate the guard in the tower. With this guard taken care of, you’ll have a bit more freedom to scope things out.

How To Find & Assassinate The First Samurai Daisho
The first Samurai Daishois on the opposite side of the courtyard you’re in,toward the northern section of the forton a lower elevation from the rest of the area. He’s patrolling a small area you can get to by crossing to the right sideof the entrance and climbing up a scaffolding into the area the Daisho is patrolling.
Be quick and catch the Daisho unawareas they head back down the stairs, and you’ll get a clean quiet assassination.

Even if you have to fight the Samurai as his high HP may be hard to deplete in one shot, the enclosed area is especially helpful for keeping the rest of the Fort from becoming alerted.
How To Find & Assassinate The Second Samurai Daisho
From the first Daisho, head up the stairs into the next area and take care of the first curious guard you see, then loot a chest with a katana in it to your right.
Continue up the right and progress toward the central portion of the fort, taking out a guard along the scaffolding, then sabotaging the alert bell for good measure.
The second Samurai Daishois in the same area where the key-bearer is, toward thesouthern, elevated area of the fort.
you may defeat this Samurai silentlyby waiting for the guard who is patrolling to pass, then jumping into the well right behind the Daisho. From here, assassinate the Daisho by pulling them into the well, without alerting anybody.
Alternatively, you can also lure the Daisho closer to the roof you’re onusing a Shinobi Bell, then jump and assassinate himwhen nobody is looking, but be careful to duck into a hiding spot right away.
What Rewards Do You Get From The Hijiyama Fort?
Once the second Daisho is down, you’re able to clean outFort Hijiyama’s side loot and main chest.
Side Loot
Here are the major side loot locations in the Hijiyama Fort:
From the entrance,go right and into the upper courtyardpast the alert bell. You can get to this section byswinging across a tree branch using your grappling hookfrom the top of the alert bell tower.Intercept the guardalong his path to assassinate him and claim the key.
Assassinate the person guarding the door, then go inside where you’ll find two piles of resources to smuggle, along with cosmetics and a small resource bundle.

From here, climbupward until you reach a dilapidated roof where you can synchronize and get a full view of the area.
