InAloft, you may explore countless unique islands as you fly through the skies on your own home island. But, you’ll need to craft a few necessary tools to explore all these places thoroughly, especially because you don’t know what an island holds until you land on it.
The torch is an excellent tool that can help you out in your exploration during the nighttime when everything is dark, or while exploring caves on some islands. It is also super easy to craft, and you can make it with the items that you find on an island.
How To Craft A Torch In Aloft
Crafting a torch can be done with ease, evenwithout setting up a workbench. You can head over to your inventory and switch to the crafting tab. After that, you cancombine the following itemsto get a torch:

1x Wood
You can gather wood byinteracting with tree branches, or bychopping down treeswith an axe.
1x Charcoal
Charcoal can be found on some islandsin the form of black tree stumps. Chopping down these black tree stumps with an axe will add charcoal to your inventory.
After you’ve crafted a torch, you canequip it in one of the equipment slotsto use it. After equipping it, you’ll have to switch to the equipment slot with the torch, and it willautomatically light up the surrounding area.
If you’re having trouble finding the required items to craft a torch, you’re able to also use console commands to add the item directly to your inventory. To add a torch to your inventory, you can press F1 to open the console while you’re in the game. After opening the console, type “give torch 1” and press Enter, which will add one torch to your inventory.
