This final Beast Hunt will be far more challenging than any of the prior fights, though it should feel easier compared tothe other Sky Scorcher fights,as you’re now familiar with the attack patterns and prepared to counter them.
Although the Darkwing threat is gone, the Sky Scorchers have endured as the last remnants of Arlo’s difficult journey to restore his kingdom to its former glory. As such, defeating the Sky Scorchers is your true final task to ensure peace, security, and justice for your new rat empire.

How To Start “Scorch The Forest”
Despitethe Darkwings being defeated,hard work remains for Arlo and his allies, as each Beast Hunt quest-giver has a new task for him:hunting down the remaining Sky Scorchers.
Speak to theOwl Hunter at Nestminster’s tavern in The Golden Forestagain, and you’ll be sent to track down and defeat one of these giant beasts.

You can’t allow the Sky Scorcher to nest in the forest, so follow the lead you got to the Totem Shrine, where you fought the WereOwl duringA Farmer for the Keep.
Fast travel to the Totem Shrine and restock at the merchant outside the entrance if you’re missing any items, especially ammo – it will be essential to this fight.
You should also refill yourWhetstonesanduse onebefore entering the shrine.
Equip your bestelectric and poison weaponryto prepare for the difficult challenge to come.
How To Defeat The Golden Forest Sky Scorcher
Once youenter The Shrine of the Golden Owl,you’ll encounter theSky Scorchermenace that has been plaguing The Golden Forest.
Dodge underneath the Sky Scorcher’s deadly tail whips,aiming to get behind it and fire from afar with your ranged weapon to whittle down its HP.
Attack the Sky Scorcher until youdeplete 33 percent of its HP,at which point it will flee downward and to the left, heading in the direction of theAbandoned Rangers Camp.
How To Beat The Golden Forest Sky Scorcher Phase Two
Pursue the Sky Scorcherto the marker, andexamine the deceased owlin the center of the arena before the Sky Scorcher attacks.
As always,initiate combat as soon as you canby firing a few shots of your ranged weapon at the Sky Scorcher.
Once it lowers its tail, swipe at it with your melee weapon to preserve ammo and continue depleting its HP to the next threshold.
Avoid the fiery breath attacksand continue your onslaught of ranged and melee attacks, depending on whether the Sky Scorcher’s tail is within reach.
When only 33 percent of the monster’s HP remains,it will flee for the last time,retreating to a familiar arena:the Underoot Ditch.
If you have already completed Scorch the Outskirts and Scorch the Rift, you know what’s about to happen.
Before you progress,swap to your best fire and poison weapons;you’re going to need them.
How To Beat The Golden Forest Sky Scorcher Phase Three
When youarrive at Underoot Ditch,you’ll find someWereOwl Cultistsdefending the area – this is where thefire and poison weaponswill come in handy, as they’re weak to both Elementa.
With the Cultists defeated,the Sky Scorcherlurking in the backgroundwill join the fight,so swap back to your best electric and poison weapons.
We found the most success with electric weapons if you’re struggling to decide between them.
Avoid the red glow on the floorthat indicates the Sky Scorcher’s powerful attack, and look out for itsfiery breath attacks that can explode and hit you from range.
This Sky Scorcher follows the same patterns as the others you’ve fought, so keep an eye on its tail and thered or yellow markingsthat appear around its mouth, which telegraphs whether you must dodge or parry the oncoming attack.
Ranged shots are your best friend in this final phase, and will help to do major damage with minimal risk, defeating the Sky Scorcher.

With the Sky Scorcher defeated,claim the Green Sky Scorcher Eggin the center of the area to officially complete the side quest.
