How To Create A Multi-Theme Gift Shop

Depending onfactors like the Campaign levelyou’re at, thesize of your museum, and thenumber of themes you havein your museum, youwon’t want to only have one theme of merchandiseavailable in your Gift Shop.

For example, if you have bothPrehistory and Marine Exhibits, only having one theme of merchandise will hurt your profits, because youwon’t be appealing to the variety of guestsyou’ll be seeing.

As soon as youhave at least two Exhibit themes, expand your Gift Shop if possible and check to seewhat type of guests you’re primarily attractingbased on those themes. Then, go to theSticker Book and check the Guests tabto see what merchandise they prefer, andstart adjusting your Gift Shopaccordingly.

If you’reputting specific themes in specific plots, you can also have multiple Gift Shops, each with their own theme andAssistants handling theminstead of one massive shop for everything.

For example, if you haveBotany and Science Exhibits together, which is mandatory onBungle Wasteland’s campaign level, at least temporarily, you’ll be getting a lot ofScience Enthusiasts, Professors, and Botany Enthusiasts as guests.

They’llprefer Bookcases, Toy Stands, and Poster Standsacross all three of them, so you can focus on having one Toy Stand, and thenseveral Bookcases and Poster Stands, and make sure there’sone for each theme.

Thereisn’t a limitto how manymerchandise stands you can put in a room, onlywhat can fit, as each oneneeds a minimum amount of spacethat includes thestand itself and room for gueststo approach it, so you could evenmake a room large enoughto includeevery guest’s preferred typeif you wanted.
