Need to clap sarcastically at a questionable trade? Give a dramatic cry when you lose all your loot? Hit ‘em with a well-placed thumbs down? Emotes let you communicate all your joy, frustration, and passive-aggressive brilliance without typing a single letter.
But how do you actually use them? And more importantly, how do you get more? If you’re tired of being stuck with the basics and want to truly elevate your in-game expression game, you’re in the right place. Let’s break it down because survival is important, but so is flair.

How To Emote
To emote,press ‘G’ to open the emote wheel.Once the wheel appears,hover over the emote you want to performandrelease ‘G’ to activate it.
When you start the game, you have access to six default emotes:Bow, Come Here, Thumbs Up, Thumbs Down, Clapping,andCrying.These provide basic ways to express greetings, agreement, disagreement, and reactions.

How To Get More Emotes
If you’re looking to expand your emote collection further, there are additional options available.
Navigate to the ‘Shop and Customize’ tabfrom the main lobby screen. Within this section,go to the ‘All Items’ tabandscroll toward the bottom, where you’ll find available emotes. These emotes can bepurchased through the Steam Marketplaceorearned via Steam Dropsby actively playing the game. If you choose to buy an emote, clicking on it will redirect you to the Steam Marketplace, where you’re able to finalize your purchase.
