Money is always the biggest concern inRanch Simulator, and exploration can be highly rewarding for making more of it. Hunting deer and bears to sell their meat is a great option. Additionally, if you enjoy exploring every corner of the map, you may have unknowingly passed by some Oil Well Sites.
These sites can make you rich in no time, but finding them isn’t easy since they don’t always spawn in the same locations for every player. If you’re determined to locate them, our guide covers all the possible spots where they can appear.
All Oil Well Site Locations
Oil Well Sites are areas where you can build a Drill Rig. Drill Rigs must be placed directly on an active Oil Well Site. To construct a Drill Rig, you will need a total of 20 Concrete and 20 Metal.
There are 11 Oil Well Sites on the map, and their locations are fixed, meaningthey remain the same in every new game.
However, out of these 11 sites,only two are active at a time.These active Oil Well Sites arerandomly selected from the 11 available locations.Inactive sites appear as circular patches of bare soil, whileactive ones have a darker or wet soil appearance.Because of this, you may only build a Drill Rig on an active Oil Well Site.

To find this Oil Well Site, head to thenorthernmost of the three crop fieldsgiven to you at the start of the game. Stand on the path leading out of your ranch and thenproceed northwest.You will see an elevated area, and the Oil Well Site is located there.
To find this Oil Well Site,start from the previous location and head northeast.Cross the road, and you will see the site.
To find this one,start from the Gas Stationand follow the main road in your vehicle.Before the road curves right,get out of your vehicle andproceed southeast.You will find the Oil Well Site among the trees.
Start from the previous Oil Well Site near the Gas Station,head north along the road, and follow it as it turns right. A dirt path will appear to the north—follow it toreach another ranch with a white house.Keep the ranch entrance to your right and move north, following the fences around the ranch to the east. Once yousee the water tower beyond the fences, turn your back to it andhead straight northto find this Oil Well Site.
This Oil Well Site is located justnortheast of the previous one, very close by.
To find this Oil Well Site,start at the Hardware Store.With the store entrance on your left,follow the road east.Stop at the fork in the road andproceed northwestto reach the site.
To find this Oil Well Site,start at the Hardware Store.With the store entrance on your left,follow the road east and take the left fork.After a short distance, you will see a dirt path on your left. Follow it, andbefore reaching the wooden tower, stop.On your right,on the unfenced side of the road, you will find this Oil Well Site.
To find this Oil Well Site, headnortheast from the previous one, and you will soon reach it.
To find this Oil Well Site,start at the Hardware Store.With the store entrance on your left,follow the road east.When the road splits, keep going straight. Eventually, the road will ascend a hill. Stop at the southernmost part of the road andproceed southeast. The Oil Well Site is not far from the road.
To find this Oil Well Site,start at the General Store. Take the northwest roadat the four-way intersection and proceed a short distance. You will see the siteon your right.
To find this Oil Well Site,start at the General Store and head northeast.Before the road curves and ascends, exit your vehicle and move off the roadto the northeast.You will find the Oil Well Site there.
All Oil Well Locations In The Southwest Map
If you own the Southwest Ranch & Farm Expansion Pack and are playing on this map, you will find 11 Oil Well Sites here as well.
Unlike the other map,three out of these 11 Oil Wells are permanentand always located in the same spots—they are not randomized. However, to access them, you need to purchase the $24,000 and $36,000 ranches. Among the remaining eight spots, two will be randomly selected as active Oil Well locations.
To find the first one, follow the roadnorth of the Car Shopuntil you reach a bridge.Before crossing the bridge, go downto the lower terrain on the left andhead northwest for a while.You will find the Oil Well Site there.
For another location, follow the roadnorth of the Car Shopuntil you reach a bridge. Cross the bridge in your vehicle andcontinue straight until you reach the end of the road, where it splits left and right.Turn right, open your map, andlook for a rectangular area.The Oil Well Site is located in this area. Stand with your back to the two white trailers and walk west to find it.
Start next to the two white trailersyou saw while searching for the previous Oil Well Site.Head easttoward the road. Once youreach the road, move southeastoff-road, and you will find this Oil Well Site.
To locate this one, follow the roadnorth of the Car Shopand go all the way to the end, where the road splits left and right.Take the left turnand stop before the road splits again. Exit your vehicle andhead north.Specifically, movenorth of the $36,000 ranch, past the road, andnear the cliff. You will find the Oil Well Site there.
For this one, enter therectangular area southeast of the Hunter’s Cabin.Walk southeast from the cabin, and you will find a small hill in this area. Looksouthwest from this hill, and you will see the Oil Well Site.
In thesouthwesternmost part of the map, you will see three small pieces of land: the left one is triangular, the right one is rectangular, and the middle one is larger than the others. Zoom in on your map and focus on thewesternmost tree-covered section of the middle land.The Oil Well Site is located right in the center of this tree-covered area.
Still in the southwesternmost part of the map, with the same three small pieces of land, focus on the larger middle land.Face away from the southeasternmost trees and head south. Once you reach the road,look immediately southof it to find this Oil Well Site.
For this one,start from the southeasternmost roadof the map. If you open your map and look closely, you willsee a V-shaped formation of two gray lines—these indicate cliffs. The Oil Well Site is locatedleft of the leftmost cliff line of this V-shape.
This Oil Well Site is permanent. After purchasing the $24,000 ranch,start from the windmillin the area andhead south toward the cliff.You will find the Oil Well Site there.
This Oil Well Site is also permanent. After purchasing the $36,000 ranch,turn your back to the windmill and head southeast.After walking far enough, you will find it.
The final Oil Well Site is very close to the previous one. You must own the $36,000 ranch, as it is in the same area. It is located justsouthwest of the previous Oil Well Site.
